Calling all Upwey High School former students who've followed a legal career pathway...
You are invited to an exclusive cocktail event and fundraiser bringing together alumni from all Ourschool's partner schools, studying or working in the legal field, as well as other Ourschool friends.
Very kindly sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills, the evening features a fabulous Q&A panel with esteemed special guests, canapes and refreshments, all included in the ticket price of $20pp.
All proceeds go towards ensuring Ourschool continues our work building powerful alumni communities in government public schools, inspiring current students and strengthening the whole school community.

(*Don't forget to bring a friend also connected to the legal world - it's a great networking opportunity!)..

Upwey High School graduate Emily Dolan, owner of Red Earth Flowers, first helped her old school last year by taking part in a careers pathway Q&A session with Year 10 students.
Since then, Emily has continued her support by offering students work experience at her floristry company. This is a both a practical and meaningful way for alumni to help the next generation learn about career pathways and we are extremely grateful to Emily for her generosity!

Giving back to your old high school can be as simple as taking part in a Q&A session with students, chatting about your career journey. This is how Paul supported his old high school when he signed up to the Ourschool Alumni Program at Upwey High School.

Ourschool is delighted to have Upwey High School alumna and former Volleyroos captain Kelly Lean as one of our supporters. Kelly generously took part in a career pathway Q&A with Year 10 and 11 students last year, and is a proud state school alum who believes thriving alumni networks can help strengthen our public schools.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting some of the Upwey alumni who’ve been involved in our program. Please help us spread the word by sharing these posts with your networks!

Sending cake, is the new sending flowers...
Just like a good recipe, Alisha Henderson, Upwey High School alumna, Class of 2011 describes herself as a ‘little bit of a lot of things!’
Once a professional cheerleader, journalism student, fitness instructor, excellent dog patter... she now refers to herself as your friendly neighbourhood ‘cake lady’. Far too modest, Alisha is a bone-fide entrepreneur, running the very successful sweetbakes.com.au.
The queen of multi-tasking, she is full-time hands-on, baking beautiful cakes, running ‘Sweet School’ workshops, and filming fabulous online content for Sweet Bakes social channels and more. Somehow too, she’s also found time to write and illustrate ‘Millie Muffin’ a beautiful children's book channelling a positive message that its ‘what’s on the inside that counts.’
Next month, Alisha has very kindly agreed to return to her old high school to share with Year 11 Business students how her sweet career pathway began after baking a few sugar cookies for friends, to now, where her company has over 250,000 Instagram followers.
As she rapidly progresses on her mission to inspire and edu-cake bakers everywhere, Upwey High School are delighted and excited to welcome her back to inspire students and share her story!
