In 2020 no limits coaching released a challenge

The no limits website just launched and ran a comp to win 6 weeks of coaching

That winner is the man pictured above and has now been 1.5 years since that day

The man that won the competition was a very different man to the one I work with today

Over this time I’ve watched Matt develop on many levels and transform so many habits towards a more positive and healthy life

The honesty, trust and loyalty that’s been built over this time makes me feel extremely grateful to work with individuals like Matt for a living

Coaching is a relationship built on a foundation of communication, trust and respect between both individuals

And over this inspiring journey the communication, trust and respect has been second to none

My man is now 3.4kg heavier clearly with a lot more muscle thanks to some insane lifts like a 440kg x 12 leg press

But the mindset, consistency and lifestyle progress made is immeasurable

Truly grateful to team up with hard working individuals like Matt

Excited for more growth both inside and outside of the gym to continue into 2022 with this beast

A tip so simple it hurts

And could easily be the one thing holding you back from more progress in the gym

When I worked the gym floor back in the day I’d see this occur way to often

And very quickly become the first thing I’d focus on when taking a new client through a session

Often times the client didn’t even realise they where doing it and how much it was holding them back

But once adjusted their technique, performance and progress improved dramatically

Want to make the most out of every set you do in the gym?

This quick tip might help 💪

Ever feel frustrated when motivation stalls?

Randomly struggle to progress lifts and everything just feels harder?

This use to frustrate and stress me out.

I’d try force through the slump and would take me weeks to find my rhythm again.

If we train properly, which is to progress consistently over time this should eventually occur.

Instead of getting frustrated now I see it as a sign I’m achieving exactly what I need from my training.

Instead of trying to grind through and just dig myself a deeper recovery hole.

I now take a proactive deload every 4-6 weeks.

I like to view this like getting a service or filling up your car.

Seems like we’re not going anywhere, but in reality it’s helping us get further without breaking down.

This weeks deload focus:

- 50% Previous Week Sets
- 50% Previous Week Reps
- Same Load As Previous Week

Ask Rick 3 years ago if deloads are needed and I’d probably laugh at you.

Always keep an open mind 😉

Anth the consistency king.

And a true representation of what perseverance, preparation and intent can achieve.

It hasn’t always been a smooth process without challenges in our way.

However we both look forward to these as a way to refine the process for future battles.

Here displays 10 months of relentless work.

And we’re only just scratching the surface of this legends potential.

Some big goals ahead and can’t wait to see what we can achieve.

Challenges will always occur and it isn’t going to be easy.

Just take it one day at a time and remember why you started.

Consistency and preparation will take you places motivation never could 💪

When the fat loss phase turns into a serious recomp.

Less fat and a lot more muscle.

Our goal initially was purely to drop off body fat then transition into a growth phase.

Joel didn’t let this stop him from putting more weight on the bar each session.

A focus regardless of the goal we should have with our training performance each week.

The synergy between the drive, the consistency and the patience all turned into this beautiful recomp of Joel’s physique.

Now we take a forced deload over lockdown drop off some fatigue then let the gaining phase begin 💪

Might just be me on this one, but..

Know how life feels like a constant journey of fu***ng things up and getting your s**t back together?

You know how each time we learn a new way to avoid these mistakes and break through limitations?

Progressions in the gym, consistency with our nutrition and lifestyle is very much the same.

If we don’t adapt we will continue to repeat the same s**tty mistakes and not get the results we want.

Just like a boxer is guaranteed to cop some punches in the ring.

We’re all going to be cop a few uppercuts here and there throughout our journey.

The only way to guarantee we don’t get there is if we throw no punches after copping the first hit.

Setback after setback, put them hands back up and just keep swinging 👊

Want to guarantee the swings your throwing are actually taking you in the right direction?

Do you actually train to failure?

True muscle failure?

As our training session progresses we should be getting weaker.

Not stronger.

We are literally breaking down the body with every set and rep.

So then our nutrition, sleep and rest can help rebuild these muscles to become bigger and stronger.

Something to keep in mind.

If we achieve the same reps with the same weight across 3-4 sets.

We probably didn’t go as hard as we thought in set 1.

Limiting our ability to progress and reach our true potential.

Next time you’re in the gym keep this in mind.

Truly take it all the way and find out your all sweet..

Or find out you may have been a bit of p***y like I did when I first had this concept pointed out to me.

Humble pie is the hardest pie to swallow, but likely to bring you more gains in the future.

Enjoy 🙂

Someone needs to read this

If you’re eating in a deficit but not losing fat.. congrats you’re not in a calorie deficit.

When trying to improve yourself people will try bring you down.. remember these are your goals no one else’s, stay true to you.

Relying on cardio to lose fat is like relying on winning the lottery to pay off your mortgage or retirement.

Cardio isn’t fat burning and creates more hunger and inactivity for the day making it harder to lose fat.

Focus on a consistent weekly steps average and you won’t have to complain about doing cardio.

Whether the goal is less fat or more muscle you should always focus on getting stronger in the gym.

If you don’t manage your progress by tracking nutrition, following a program and being consistent..

You’ll never know what worked.. or what didn’t?

What else would you add?

The feeling

When you push through and achieve something you never thought was possible

You just can’t beat it

It’s not just a physique transformation

It’s an identity, belief and confidence transformation that carries over into all other aspects of life

“With your knowledge and being able to follow your instructions I’ve achieved something I didn’t think I’d come close to, I’ve never held onto so much muscle or been this lean It’s been so good and we’re still not even done 💪”

Extremely grateful being able to work with Adrian to level up his physique and mindset to achieve these awesome results.

And just like he mentioned above, we’re not done yet 😉

Wtf Is Consistency?

We hear about it all the time, but what does it really mean?

In my opinion it’s realising we’re only human and won’t always be 100% on point all the time.

It’s about doing the best we can with the situations we’re dealt with.

It’s about staying true to ourselves even though sometimes others will try to bring us down.

It’s about bouncing back as soon as we can without getting too down when things don’t go to plan.

If you beat yourself up every time you veer off course here’s some tips to keep in mind.

Consistency Beats Intensity ☑️
Going hard too fast often causes unnecessary burnout. Intensity creates a cool story, consistency actually gets results you keep.

Discipline Beats Motivation ☑️
Motivation doesn’t last. Spend less time trying to be “motivated” and more time thinking what a disciplined version of yourself would do? Do that.

Preparation Beats Winging It ☑️
Doing things on the fly can make life difficult. Those who plan ahead are in more control, have more peace of mind and achieve consistent results.

It’s what we consistently do not occasionally do that matters most.

One hot day doesn’t make a summer.

Remember why you started 👊

Tanishas Progress ☑️

Once Tanisha made the decision to reach out for help she was all in.

Tanisha knew what had to be done based on feedback from our weekly check ins, always planned ahead and ticked the boxes that needed to be ticked day in and day out.

As always life will always try to get in between us and our goals attempting to throw us off course.

This is where we learn where our true priorities are and if we are truly willing to make a change or just like the idea of change.

Tanisha dropped 7.1kg and 4.8 inches from her waist whilst learning how to take full control of her daily nutrition and progress consistently in the gym.

Been awesome working with Tanisha and extremely proud watching her adapt and progress throughout the journey to not only get the results, but sustain them with her newly formed habits 💪

Mum gets her confidence back

Over the years it’s been tough watching mum fall for every single fad diet under the sun.

From keto, fasting, paleo, clean eating, hand portions, weight watchers, jenny craig, average personal trainers advice and even the damn blood type diet.

This has been a long time coming.

Mum started her journey at 75.5kg where she was constantly tired, no longer comfortable in clothes and was ready to do whatever it took to get back to a healthier more confident version of herself.

With accountability, nutrition coaching, 2 x per week training, weekly check ins, education and learning the importance of habits she’s now achieved her current weight of fasted weight of 61.3kg.

She’s now 14.2kg lighter, down 2 dress sizes, with more confidence, an increased understanding of nutrition and love for training again.

Couldn’t be happier for mum and deserves the results for all the hard work and consistency she’s put into the process.

No more fad diets with false promises setting her up for failure.

Just sustainable lifestyle habits for life.

Looking forward to seeing mum continue to progress even more with her fitness vision in future.

Proud coach 💪
