We are excited to share that Kalkallo Aspire has introduced the ELSA Program into our learning environment! 🌏

The ELSA program is a fun and engaging language-learning program designed for early childhood children. Through interactive games, songs, stories, and play-based experiences, children are introduced to new languages and cultures in an enjoyable and meaningful way.

By implementing the ELSA program, children are developing:

🌟 Service Champions at Kalkallo Aspire 🌟

At Kalkallo Aspire, we are excited to announce the nomination of our service champions who will help lead and support important initiatives within our centre community.

🌏 Katie has been nominated as our Cultural Ambassador and will support cultural inclusion, diversity, and meaningful connections with families and the wider community. Through this role, Katie will help promote children’s sense of belonging, respect for different cultures, and inclusive practices throughout our service.

♻️ Bishal has been nominated as our Sustainability Champion and will be leading sustainability initiatives across the centre. This role will support children and educators in developing environmentally responsible practices, caring for our environment, and embedding sustainable learning experiences into everyday routines.

These leadership roles help strengthen our service by encouraging collaboration, building educator confidence, supporting continuous improvement, and creating meaningful learning opportunities for children and families.

We are also currently in the process of nominating our:💤 Safe Sleep Champion⛑️ First Aid Officer🦺 OSH Champion

We look forward to continuing to build a strong team culture where everyone contributes to creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable learning environment for our children and families.

At Kalkallo Aspire, our children celebrated Earth Day through a variety of meaningful art and craft experiences using natural, recycled, and sustainable materials. Throughout the day, children explored the importance of caring for our environment while expressing their creativity and ideas through hands-on learning.

These experiences supported children’s understanding of sustainability, encouraged conversations about protecting our planet, and promoted responsibility for the world around them. Through painting, collage making, recycled creations, and nature-inspired artwork, children developed their fine motor skills, creativity, communication, and sense of belonging to their environment.

We loved hearing the children’s voices and ideas about how they can help the Earth:

🌎 “The Earth needs clean water.”
♻️ “We can use boxes again instead of throwing them away.”
🌿 “Plants need us to look after them.”

At Kalkallo Aspire, we believe that teaching children about sustainability from a young age helps build caring, responsible, and environmentally aware future citizens. 💚

we celebrated the special people in our children’s lives with a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration across all our rooms. Our educators thoughtfully prepared a variety of engaging activities and experiences for mums and children to enjoy together, creating meaningful memories and special moments.

It was heartwarming to see so many families join us and share laughter, smiles, creativity, and connection throughout the day. Thank you to all the families who attended and helped make this celebration so special.

🌟 A Warm Welcome to Our New Team Member! 🌟

We are excited to introduce Bishal, who has recently joined our Kalkallo Aspire family as our 3-Year-Old Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) 👏✨

Bishal brings with him a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating engaging, nurturing, and inspiring learning environments for our children. We are confident that he will make a wonderful addition to our team and a positive impact on our little learners 🌱

We are delighted to welcome back our Assistant Centre Manager, Lisa, following her maternity leave 💐

It has been wonderful to see Lisa return to our centre, bringing her warmth, leadership, and care back into our daily practice. She has been greatly missed by the children, families, and our team.

We hope Lisa and her family have shared many special moments during this beautiful chapter, and we look forward to all that is ahead as she settles back into her role.

🌿💛 Learning About Emotions in Our Toddler Hub 💛🌿

At Kalkallo Aspire, our toddler children are exploring and learning all about emotions – recognising how they feel, expressing themselves, and building strong social connections 😊🌈

Through thoughtfully planned experiences, our educators are also introducing the importance of sustainability in learning. Using natural and recycled materials, children are engaging in meaningful play while developing an appreciation for caring for our environment 🌱♻️

From sensory play to creative expression, every experience supports children in understanding their feelings while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and respect for the world around them 🌍✨

We are so proud to see our little learners growing emotionally and becoming environmentally aware every day!

In our Kinder Hub, children are actively engaging in numeracy learning experiences with a strong focus on numbers using a range of open-ended materials. Through resources such as loose parts, counters, and recycled items, children are exploring numbers in meaningful and hands-on ways.

These experiences support children to:➕ Develop counting skills and one-to-one correspondence🔢 Recognise and identify numbers in their environment📊 Understand quantities and the concept of “more” and “less”🧠 Build confidence in early mathematical thinking and problem-solving

Using open-ended materials allows children to explore numbers at their own pace, represent their thinking in different ways, and make meaningful connections through play.
