Thought the icy action stopped last year at ACPS? Think again! โ๏ธ
Weโre bringing the frosty fun back to Andersons Creek Primary School with our annual DIY Big Freeze on ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ฎ 26 ๐
๐ช๐ฃ๐ 2026.
We are coming together to make a real difference in the fight against MND with an action-packed lineup:
๐ฏ The Adult Dunk Tank: Watch our brave teachers and adults take the plunge for a great cause!
๐ The Student Slip-and-Slide: A high-speed, chilly thrill for those students ready to slide into action!
๐ Why Your Support Matters
Every single day, two Australians are diagnosed with motor neurone disease. MND doesn't discriminateโwhen it affects one person, it impacts families, friends, and our entire community.
Our goal is to raise between $2,000 and $3,000 for FightMND ๐ฐ, with every dollar going directly toward vital research and support programs.
We would love your support to help us reach this target via our fundraising page:

To fuel all that frosty fun, weโve got some delicious lunch and treat options lined up to make the day even more special!
๐ฑ Pre-order via QKR!
๐ง Toasties ($6 each): Choose from Ham & Cheese, Tomato & Cheese, or classic Cheese!
๐ง Raspberry Slushy Cups ($4): For that extra dose of delicious brain freeze!
โ Available on the Day:
Grab a warm Hot Chocolate ($2) to help thaw out after all the icy action!
๐ซ Please note: All funds raised from canteen sales will go directly toward our school fundraising efforts.
It's shaping up to be an absolutely brilliant day filled with community spirit, all while supporting an incredibly important cause.
๐ Thank you so much for helping us make a difference!

We are so incredibly proud of our very own Prep student, Stevie, who is currently appearing in the Broadway musical Waitress, playing right now at Her Majestyโs Theatre! โจ
Stevie plays the wonderful role of Lulu, Jennaโs daughter (starring alongside Natalie Bassingthwaite). ๐
Not only is she having a blast, but Stevie is already earning amazing praise for her performance! Reviews have highlighted her shining personality, even calling her an "opening night scene-stealer!" ๐๏ธ
ACPS teachers just couldnโt miss the opportunity to see Stevie on stage and cheer her on. They were absolutely delighted to meet up with her and receive their very own autograph of Stevie after the show! โ๏ธ
When asked how she feels when she steps into the spotlight, Stevie said: "It feels so goodโฆ going on stage is something I really enjoy and like to doโฆ and I like seeing the crowdโs reaction." ๐ถ
Stevie, everyone here at Andersons Creek Primary School is very proud of you too! We love seeing you follow your dreams and shine so bright! ๐๐๐ซ

๐ฐ Newsletter Stories Update ๐๏ธ
In this month's newsletter, we celebrate an exciting milestone for our prep students as they begin blending letter sounds to read and write words.
โ๏ธThe children practice the correct formation of the letters in daily handwriting tasks and are beginning to write simple captions and sentences. The more we discuss stories, the deeper the students' comprehension becomes. We enjoy talking about the characters and different settings in the book and create story mountains to look closely at the elements that are changing in the text.
This term, we have introduced small teacher-led reading groups. A small group of children work closely with the teacher to introduce new reading skills and practice their decoding and reading fluency. During this time, their classmates are developing the skills to work independently on book response activities followed by a range of literacy games and puzzles.๐งฉ

Good morning Mum and Dad!
Just checking in to let you know we survived our first night at camp!
We braved the weather, made it to the Penguin Parade last night and somehow still had enough energy to talk well past bedtime.
Today weโve got rock climbing, pedal carts, archery, flying foxes and giant swings.
Wish us luckโฆ and donโt worry, weโre only missing you a little bit! ๐
Love,
The Grade 3/4 Campers ๐

What an incredible weekend for our ACPS community with the performances of Aladdin Jr.
To our students โ we could not be prouder. Seeing students from so many different year levels come together as one team to deliver such an outstanding performance was truly special.
To our production team โ You are a true embodiment of our ACPS pillar of Community. We are incredibly grateful for the expertise, care, time and support you gave our students in creating an experience they will carry with them for life, and one that we all loved watching.
To our families โ thank you for always stepping in to help wherever it was needed. From supporting rehearsals and encouraging practice at home to helping throughout the weekend with the many behind-the-scenes jobs.
We love our ACPS community!!
