FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The little niños recently enjoyed a healthy eating incursion, where learning came to life through songs, dancing, and hands-on activities.

Throughout the session, the children explored a variety of fruits and vegetables, learning about their colours, textures, and nutritional benefits. Through movement, music, and discussion, they shared their favourite foods and discovered new healthy choices.

These experiences help children develop positive relationships with food while supporting the Positive Health domain of our Positive Education curriculum, encouraging healthy habits that support wellbeing now and into the future.

SPELLING SUCCESS: Our kindergarten children have been strengthening their literacy skills through an engaging letter recognition and spelling activity.

Using letter tiles, the little niños identified and matched letters to form words, completing each spelling challenge with care and focus. As they explored sequencing and word formation, they built strong foundations for reading and writing.

This supported critical thinking, problem-solving, and growing confidence as children developed skills they will carry into school and beyond.

NATURE'S MASTERPIECES: The children explored the beauty of the natural world through immersive art experiences, drawing inspiration from the colours, textures, and patterns found in nature.

Using a variety of natural materials, including fallen leaves collected from their outdoor environment, the little niños created unique artworks that showcased their observations, creativity, and imagination.

STORYTIME SCORES: Last week, we came together to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime, sharing in the joy of reading and connecting through literature with this year's wonderful story, 'Luna Roo, the Kangaroo Baller' by Adrian Lloyd and Adam Jackson.

Filled with excitement, teamwork, and courage, 'Luna Roo, the Kangaroo Baller' takes us into the world of soccer while exploring the power of believing in ourselves and channelling our inner strength.

Stories like these create meaningful opportunities for little niños to explore big ideas, encouraging confidence, resilience, and emotional growth while nurturing a lifelong love of books and literacy.

FLOURISHING LITTLE NIÑOS: "We are so incredibly grateful for the understanding, care, and support shown to [our child] each day he is in your care. The wonderful educators at Niño [ELA] have created a safe and nurturing environment that has helped him build his social and emotional skills over the years. His confidence has absolutely flourished, and he genuinely loves his days with you all. From the bottom of our hearts — THANK YOU!"

Thank you, Katia, for your kind words.

IMAGINATION IN MOTION: The Adventurers children have been exploring their term project on dramatic play, bringing learning to life through creativity and storytelling.

The children designed and created their own cars before taking them through an interactive car wash experience, exploring movement, cause and effect, and sensory play. They also engaged with a “Very Hungry Caterpillar” made from recycled cardboard, retelling the story through play and strengthening early literacy connections.

Imagination is guiding their learning journey as our little niños develop language, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

PAINTED WITH LOVE: Our centre was filled with creativity, connection, and joyful moments as we welcomed our wonderful mums and special people for a Mother's Day Paint and Sip morning.

Our little niños and their loved ones enjoyed painting side by side, sharing meaningful moments and creating beautiful keepsakes to treasure.

These experiences create opportunities for connection, belonging, and shared joy, strengthening the special relationships that help our little niños flourish each day.

WHERE NEW LIFE BEGINS: The centre is alive with anticipation as we welcome a Chicken Hatching experience—an immersive opportunity that invites our little niños to explore life cycles through observation, care, and wonder.

As the chicks begin to emerge, children engage with the science of new life while strengthening character qualities such as love of learning and kindness.

This shared experience extends beyond the learning environment, sparking conversation, deepening connection, and bringing our community together as we watch new life unfold.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE LINES: One of our kindergarteners worked alongside an educator to solve a maze carefully drawn on the whiteboard as a shared challenge.

With focus and patience, they navigated twists and turns together, testing ideas, adapting strategies, and celebrating each small success along the way.

This collaborative experience supported problem-solving, persistence, and critical thinking, while strengthening connection and communication between child and educator.

FARMYARD DISCOVERIES: This little niño enjoyed a farm animal learning experience designed to spark curiosity and wonder.

Through soft textures, friendly animals, and engaging props, the experience supported touch, observation, and early exploration. It encouraged curiosity and language development while providing a warm, nurturing environment for sensory discovery.

This experience also supported early cognitive development as children began making connections between animals, sounds, and familiar environments, strengthening their understanding of the world through play-based learning.
