Today, selected Year 4 students had the opportunity to visit the Monash Council Chambers to be a part in the Junior Advisory Group.

Each student came up with a question about the local community and were able to ask this to Councillor, Stuart James, throughout our discussions. The students enjoyed having the opportunity to apply Habit 8: 'Find Your Voice', through expressed ideas and concerns about our community.

This morning, Oakleigh Grammar celebrated its annual Term 2 Commencement Assembly. The event marked a very special occasion, not only because it was the first time the students have been able to come together as a whole school, but also because His Eminence, Archbishop Makarios of Australia was in attendance.

2004- The year that Greece hosted the Summer Olympics in Athens, George W. Bush gained his second term in office and a little platform called Facebook went live at Harvard University.

Oh yeah, and the Oakleigh Grammar Year 11s held a sausage sizzle that rivalled Bunnings.....what a year!

Congratulations again to our 2020 Year 12 graduates on receiving their tertiary offers. The figures prove that hard work pays off and our students really did give it their all, in what was such a challenging year.

Here is the Oakleigh Grammar offer breakdown:
• 78% received 1st preference
• 89% Received 1st or 2nd preference offer
• 95% received 1st, 2nd or 3rd preference
• All student registered with VTAC received a round one offer
• The top three tertiary destinations for our students were
Monash University, Deakin University and Swinburne
University
• Four students received 1st preference offers for Melbourne
University
