We invite all families who are considering enrolling their child in our 3-Year-Old or 4-Year-Old Kindergarten program next year or in the coming years to join us for our Kindergarten Information Evening.

This evening is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our kindergarten program, meet our team, and gain insight into how we support children throughout their learning, development, and transition to school journey.

💪🚧 Building Strong Bodies and Strong Minds! 🚧💪

Our Kinder children have been exploring the benefits of heavy work through hands-on, purposeful experiences in our outdoor environment!

Heavy work activities involve children using their muscles to push, pull, lift, carry, dig, and move objects. While it may look like simple play, these experiences provide valuable opportunities for learning and development. 🌱✨

Through heavy work, children are able to:
🌟 Develop gross motor skills and muscle strength
🌟 Improve balance, coordination, and body awareness
🌟 Build confidence and independence
🌟 Strengthen problem-solving and teamwork skills
🌟 Support focus, concentration, and self-regulation

The children were excited to take on challenges, work collaboratively with their friends, and use their growing strength to achieve their goals. It was wonderful to see their determination, persistence, and pride in their accomplishments! 😊

🌟 What a fantastic evening of learning, reflection and teamwork 🌟
During our team development meeting, we spent time reflecting on safeguarding practices and discussing how we can continue strengthening our programs and daily practices to support the wellbeing and safety of every child ❤️
There were plenty of laughs during a fun game of “This or That” 🤭 before teams came together to collaborate, share ideas and begin planning their next exciting room projects 🎨🌿📖
We love seeing our educators so passionate about learning, growing and creating meaningful experiences for children and families every day ✨

Our toddlers may have grown into Pre-Kinders, but one thing definitely hasn’t changed… their LOVE of cooking! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳💛
To extend on this passion, our children and team have started something extra special. Every Thursday they work together to cook afternoon tea for everyone across the centre! 🥰🍽️
Last week’s delicious afternoon tea was homemade banana bread 🍌 and the children were so proud to share their tasty treat with their friends and educators.
Cooking experiences provide so many wonderful learning opportunities, supporting confidence, teamwork, communication, early maths skills and helping children build positive relationships with food. We can’t wait to see what’s on the menu this Thursday 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳💛

🌿🔍 Spending time discovering the wonders of our outdoor environment. There was so much excitement as tiny bugs were spotted amongst the gardens and Bush Kinder 🐞🐜
We took the time to slow down, observe and talk about the little creatures in their natural environment, encouraging curiosity, respect for nature and a love of discovery 🌱✨ These moments support children’s learning through observation, communication and developing an understanding of the world around them 🌏💚

🍎 Little chefs in action! 🍌🍓

We have been supporting children in practising how to cut up their own fruit for morning tea.

Through this hands-on experience, children are:
✨ Building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
✨ Developing independence and confidence
✨ Learning healthy eating habits
✨ Creating positive relationships with food

There were so many proud smiles as the children prepared and enjoyed their own fruit. 💛

🎶 The magic of music therapy 🎶
Music is so much more than just singing songs. It’s a powerful tool that supports children’s learning, development and wellbeing in so many beautiful ways. 💛
Through music therapy, children strengthen their communication and language skills, build emotional regulation, develop coordination and concentration, and learn how to connect and collaborate with others. Music also supports children in expressing themselves in ways that words sometimes cannot. 🎶✨
One of the most beautiful parts of music therapy is seeing the happiness and confidence shine through as children feel safe, included and empowered to participate in their own unique way. 🌈
There is something truly special about the way music brings people together and creates moments of pure magic within our learning environment. 🎤🥁🎼

✨ Water, bubbles, food colouring & a tea set… sometimes the simplest experiences create the most meaningful learning opportunities! 🫧🫖🌈

We explored a sensory tea party filled with colourful water, bubbles and imaginative play. Through pouring, mixing, scooping and serving, the children were developing so many important skills while having fun alongside their friends.
This experience encouraged:
💧 Fine motor development through pouring and stirring
🌈 Creativity and curiosity as children experimented with colours and bubbles
🫖 Imaginative and role play as they created their own tea party experiences
🗣️ Language and social skills through conversations, turn taking and cooperative play
Simple play experiences like these provide endless opportunities for learning, exploration and connection while supporting children to learn through play in a meaningful and engaging way 💕

This weekend, we celebrate all the incredible women who play such an important role in children’s lives, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums, Grandmothers, Step Mums, Aunties, best friends who become second Mums/Aunties, soon-to-be Mums, the “should-be” Mums, and everyone in between 🌸

The love, care, guidance, comfort, and support you provide each and every day helps shape the lives of the children around you in the most beautiful ways. Your role is truly special, and you deserve to be celebrated not only this weekend, but every single day 💕
