Ekol School of Arts

ecame a dance company, named EKOL. The main objectives of opening the dance company was for EKOL to carry on our culture via art, to introduce the rich Turkish culture to the generations to come, and to build a bridge between other cultures. Within these objectives, beginning with cultural dance company, we wish to have all forms of art under the same roof, in order to preserve and maintain this culture. Similar to The Riverdance or Lord of the Dance in the Oriental version with a fabulous mixture of ballet, modern dance and oriental elements. For many years, Hacer and Ozcan Yildirim have both danced and worked hard in teaching folk dancing, and now more recently, have the assistance of Caner Yigit Yildirim (son) who has been dancing in worldwide dance productions with some of the best Turkish dance companies in the world. Cansu Tugba Yildirim (daughter) has been dancing since the age of 5; She has taken teaching professionally and is currently one of the main dance instructors at EKOL. Their involvement has ultimately changed the multicultural young generation of Australia, which has resulted in the creation of a proper foundation.
