A SWEET CELEBRATION: Today, we celebrated Educator's Day with a little something special for our incredible team!

The staff room was filled with wholesome treats, giving our educators the opportunity to take a moment, enjoy something delicious and feel appreciated for all that they do.

A small gesture to say a big thank you to the wonderful people who bring care, passion and dedication to our centres each and every day.

STORIES COME TO LIFE: Book Week is all about celebrating the stories, characters and adventures that inspire little imaginations! Last week, our little niños and educators stepped into the pages of much-loved books through dress-ups, story sharing, play and creative experiences.

One of our favourite adventures was a sensory journey inspired by ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. The children explored different textures and sensory elements as they travelled through the story, encouraging curiosity, imagination and a love of storytelling.

From squelching through the mud to exploring the grass and discovering where the adventure might lead, the experience brought this much-loved book to life, sparking wonder and encouraging the children to engage with the story in a meaningful way.

PAINTING WITH A POP: Art can take shape in the most unexpected ways, as our little niños recently discovered when they turned bubble wrap into a playful painting tool, experimenting with paint to create an array of colourful prints and patterns.

There was plenty of excitement as each print revealed something different, transforming simple bubbles and paint into textures and shapes of their own. A playful invitation to experiment, create and see where their ideas might lead.

SERVING UP LEARNING: Our kindergarten children have been exploring healthy eating through a vibrant imaginative play space, where creativity, collaboration, and role play inspire meaningful discovery.

Stepping into the role of shopkeepers, the niños prepared a variety of nutritious foods and refreshing drinks for their educators, taking customer orders, serving meals, and engaging in rich conversations throughout the experience. Along the way, they strengthened their communication, social, and problem-solving skills while developing a greater understanding of healthy food choices.

By embedding healthy eating into imaginative play, the children are fostering positive relationships with food, building confidence, and discovering the joy of learning through play.

BEYOND THE PLAYGROUND: Every adventure brings new opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. During a visit to the local park, our little niños embraced the freedom of outdoor play while building confidence, resilience, and meaningful connections with one another.

Climbing, balancing, swinging, and sharing games with friends supported the development of gross motor skills, coordination, and problem-solving as the children navigated new challenges together.

Experiences within the local community inspire curiosity, foster independence, and encourage children to see the world as a place of endless possibilities.

RAINBOW SHOWERS: The Investigators have been exploring all things weather this term, discovering how rain, sunshine, wind, and clouds shape the world around us. As an extension of their learning, the little niños took part in a colourful art experience, using spray bottles to gently mist tissue paper and create beautiful "rainbow rain" masterpieces. Experiences like these nurture creativity, scientific thinking, and a sense of wonder, encouraging children to investigate the world around them through meaningful play.

SHAPES IN COLOUR: Our toddlers recently explored the wonderful world of shapes through a colourful creative art activity. Using paint, the little niños explored circles, squares, triangles, and more as they experimented with colours, patterns, and textures. Hands-on learning like this builds early mathematical understanding while fostering creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression. With every brushstroke, our niños explored, created, and grew.

YARNING AND LEARNING: Throughout Reconciliation Week (27 May to 3 June), our little niños explored a range of meaningful experiences designed to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and perspectives.

Through creative arts, sensory play, and collaborative experiences, the children discovered the importance of respect, belonging, and caring for Country. Along the way, they engaged in thoughtful conversations about kindness, listening to others, and appreciating diverse ways of living, learning, and being.

PARKSIDE PLAY: Our toddlers set off on a joyful excursion to the local park, embracing the fresh air, open spaces, and natural wonders surrounding them.

With eager smiles and curious minds, our little niños climbed, balanced, slid, and explored side by side, turning the playground into a space filled with adventure and discovery. These shared moments outdoors encouraged confidence, connection, and a growing sense of independence, while nurturing curiosity and a deeper appreciation for the environment and community around them.
