πŸš’πŸ”₯ Fire Safety in Action at The Hive ELC! πŸ”₯πŸš’

Today, our Kinder children participated in a Fire Evacuation Drill, helping them learn important safety procedures in a calm, supportive, and engaging environment.

The children demonstrated confidence, responsibility, and cooperation as they listened carefully, followed instructions, and safely evacuated to our designated assembly area. Experiences like these empower children with essential life skills and help build their understanding of personal safety and community awareness.

At The Hive ELC, we are committed to providing opportunities that support children's wellbeing, resilience, and preparedness while ensuring a safe learning environment for all.

Well done, Kinder children! πŸ‘πŸ

πŸŒŽπŸ’š World Environment Day at Our Centre πŸ’™πŸŒΏ

Today, our children celebrated World Environment Day through a meaningful painting experience inspired by the beauty of our natural world. Using shades of green and blue to represent the land, plants, sky, and water, the children independently explored painting techniques and expressed their creativity through art.

As they dipped their paintbrushes and created their masterpieces, the children engaged in rich sensory exploration, discovered colours and textures, and strengthened their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Most importantly, the experience sparked conversations about caring for our environment, respecting nature, and understanding our role in protecting the world around us.

Through creative experiences like these, children develop a deeper connection to the environment while building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility for the future.

"The greatest gift we can give our children is a love and appreciation for the natural world." 🌱🌏

Today our Pre-Prep children had a fantastic time exploring the letter O! 🌟
The children enjoyed making oobleck, a fascinating sensory experience where they discovered a mixture that acts like both a liquid and a solid. There were lots of curious minds, busy hands, and excited smiles as they investigated its unique properties.
We also dived into the wonderful world of ocean animals πŸ πŸ™πŸ¬, learning about the creatures that live beneath the sea and sharing our favourite ocean discoveries.

Learning Through Play and Persistence! 🌈

Our children enjoyed a fun and engaging colour-matching activity, where they identified coloured cardboard pieces and carefully selected the matching coloured pegs. As they worked through the task, they demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, concentration, and determination.

Some children found clipping the pegs onto the cardboard challenging at first, but they showed great resilience by experimenting with different ways to hold and squeeze the pegs. Through patience and repeated effort, they strengthened their fine motor skills, hand strength, and hand-eye coordination.

Most importantly, the children built confidence in their abilities and discovered that challenges can be overcome through persistence and practice. We are so proud of their enthusiasm, perseverance, and willingness to keep trying! 🌟

Chef Swarna joined our kinder room for an exciting hands-on cooking class where the children baked yummy chocolate chip cookies and made coconut balls to support this wonderful cause. Throughout the experience, our young learners practiced important skills including measuring, counting, mixing, and rolling, all while working together with big smiles and great teamwork.

After creating their tasty treats, the children carefully wrapped each one with pride, showing wonderful responsibility, cooperation, and care. ✨ We are so proud of their effort and excited to contribute to supporting people impacted by cancer through this special event.
