It definitely doesn’t have to be this way. The Salvaging app will enable individuals and businesses who have salvaged, secondhand and unused building, renovated and DIY materials and items to sell on our dedicated platform.

24/7 purchasing, secure in-app payment and fast pick up and delivery are all coming together to make buying quality, useable salvaged products easy and convenient.

Stay out of the shops and off the internet this Black Friday! We promise that you don't need to buy anything new for your next home project... there's someone a few streets away who did it last year and would love to sell you theirs for cheap - especially if they can do it with in-app secure payment and next business day pick up/delivery*.

That's what the Salvaging App is coming to help you with.

Go enjoy the day with a friend, a walk or a movie instead.

Here's the problem and here's our solution...40% of landfill comes from construction. Yes, 40%! And landfills all over Australia that are overflowing with it.

Salvaging App is here and close to launch. Individual households, builders and salvaging/secondhard yards with reusable building and reno materials and items will all be able to sell directly to buyers doing their own building projects.

Whether it's tiles, timber, hammers, nails and anything in between, we're on a mission to stop perfectly good "junk" clogging up our landfill.

Secure payment through the app and delivery for most things within a day, so no need to go pick up or drop off.

Stay tuned and we'll let you know when the app is available for download.

Turn A into B... can you believe these are the same drawers?!Salvaging App is aiming to help Aussies turn building and reno "junk" into treasure. We want this kind of transformation to become the norm by helping you get your hands on salvaged, secondhand and excess building materials and items, everything from timber to tools and more.

The app is in development and due to launch soon. If you've got building or reno "junk" in your garage, you can load it up onto the beta site and we'll transfer it over once the app is live. Head to salvagingapp.com.au

Did you see this last week on the ABC? A shocking 40% of Australia's landfill comes from the construction industry. That's right: 40%!!! But amid all this waste, there are home builders seeing construction waste for what it often is: quality and totally reusable building materials! This waste of perfectly good building and reno "junk" is why Salvaging App exists. If you have unused or secondhand building or DIY materials or items, here's a sign to head to salvagingapp.com.au and load them up so we can start a no-building-waste revolution. (Please be patient in waiting for a sale as we finalise our app and transport your stuff over - we're trying to fill out the site with your items before our official launch)

Hard rubbish - do you love it or hate it? The past week’s sunshine means we’re seeing more Melbourne households leaving their preloved furniture out for salvaging.Sure, it’s not perfect but we reckon some items - this art deco bedside table in particular- are ripe for some restoration work or even just a good clean before finding a new life in a new family.

If you’ve got DIY, reno or building materials or items that could help someone with their projects, load them up onto salvagingapp.com.au to be transferred onto the app when we launch!

Art deco dream happening over at salvagingapp.com.au! How gorgeous are these doors?! If you've got a deco house or inspired house, head to the web app for doors, vents and locks. And even better - you can get them all delivered, usually within 24 hours.

If you've got your own deco gems or you've got a garage full of building, DIY or reno materials, supplies and items, help us as we develop the Tinder for tradies (and DIY/reno-ers) by loading yours up. We're at salvagingapp.com.au

Got a little secret: this year I discovered that our home is already filled with containers and stuff for organising. Here's how I did my beauty drawer with stuff around the house and even some random things I inherited from my grandma.

1. Pot an orchid came in - perfect for my hair dryer attachments
2. My grandma's baking dish (eyeshadows easily accessible in here)
3. My grandma's hand painted cups (perfect for make up brushes, mascaras and eyeliners)
4-5. Random boxes (PERFECT for lipsticks and hair ties)
6. Little olive jar that's now holding tweezers, nail clippers, etc

Et voila - my new beauty drawer. No waste, no spend and no trips to Kmart required!
