Reconciliation Week at Milestones Wyndham Vale ❤️💛🖤

Throughout National Reconciliation Week, our service engaged in a range of meaningful experiences that encouraged children to learn about, respect and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives.

One of the highlights of our week was participating in the National Simultaneous Storytime of Luna Roo, where all of our children gathered in our 4-Year-Old Kindergarten room to share the story.

Across the service, educators looked at their Acknowledgement of Country and took time to reflect and strengthen their individual Acknowledgement. Together, we recognized and paid our respects to the Wada wurrung People of the Kulin Nation, acknowledging their ongoing connection to Country, culture and community.

As part of this year's Reconciliation Week theme "All In" the children explored what it means to work together, show respect, include others and build positive relationships within our community. Through conversations, creative experiences and collaborative projects, the children demonstrated that reconciliation begins with understanding, respect and commitment to walking together.

At Milestones Wyndham Vale, reconciliation is not limited to one week of the year. It is embedded in our everyday practices as we continue to create a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children can learn, grow and develop a sense of belonging.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Celebration

What a wonderful afternoon we shared celebrating our mothers and loved ones here at Milestones Wyndham Vale Early Learning.
Our team created a range of meaningful and engaging experiences for the children to enjoy along with their special guests, providing opportunities for the children to express just how much their loved ones mean to them. From creative activities to shared moments of laughter and connection, the afternoon was filled with joy, love and beautiful memories.

We would like to thank all of our families and loved ones who joined us for this special celebration. It was so lovely to see our Milestones community come together and celebrate the important people in our children’s lives.

Meet Our Educator!

Today we would like to introduce Miss Zoe, one of our wonderful educators here at Milestones Wyndham Vale.

With over 3.5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Zoe brings warmth, kindness and a strong commitment to inclusion into our learning environment each day. She is passionate about creating a space where every child feels safe, supported and confident to explore and grow.

Zoe is the Lead Educator in our Nursery 2 room and also our dedicated Tour Champion, where she enjoys welcoming new families and helping them feel a sense of belonging within our center community.

Zoe loves supporting children to build confidence through nurturing relationships and responsive interactions, ensuring each child feels secure and valued.

A little more about Zoe:

Favourite activities with children: Dancing, playing games like chasey, and sharing lots of laughter.

Fun fact: Zoe loves all things Disney! She has visited Disneyland and DisneySea in Japan and has a passion for travelling and exploring new places.

Personal values: Zoe values her faith and family deeply, which guides her caring and respectful approach in her work with children and families.

We have had an egg-cellent Easter week here, creating beautiful artwork, exploring exciting sensory trays and taking part in exciting Easter egg hunts. The week was filled with fun activities, creativity and lots of smiles.

The Henny Penny Program is at Milestones Wyndham Vale!

What an egg-citing time for our children! The Henny Penny Program has given our little learners the opportunity to explore the life cycle of a chick up close, watching in wonder as tiny eggs then become fluffy chicks.

Through this experience, children have been observing, asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of how living things grow and change. It has sparked curiosity, excitement and meaningful conversations about nature and caring for animals!

Harmony Week at Milestones Wyndham Vale 🧡

Harmony Day (March 21) is part of Harmony Week, a time to celebrate Australia’s amazing cultural diversity.

At Milestones Wyndham Vale, we celebrate inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for all Australians, from the traditional custodians of the land to those who have come from many countries around the world.

Throughout Harmony Week, our children have been engaging in a range of experiences including sharing stories about belonging and identity, participating in activities that promote cultural awareness and respect, expressing themselves through creative experiences and celebrating together by dressing in orange or cultural attire

Meet Our Educator!

Today we would like to introduce the wonderful Miss Parneet!
Parneet is a dedicated and valued member of our Milestones Wyndham Vale team. She consistently goes above and beyond to support our service, recently stepping in to assist with kitchen duties as our cook while also leading our Toddler Room. Her willingness to help wherever needed truly reflects her strong teamwork, flexibility and commitment to our center community.

With 3 years of experience in early childhood education, Parneet brings kindness, care, passion, energy and patience into the learning environment each day. She loves supporting children as they grow, learn and discover new things. Watching children develop new skills and confidence is something that brings Parneet great joy.

You will often see Parneet engaging with the children through pretend play, art and craft, reading stories and singing, creating fun and meaningful learning experiences that support children’s curiosity and development.

Outside of the centre, Parneet enjoys cooking, creative art activities and listening to music.
We are so grateful to have Parneet as part of our Milestones family!

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8) a global day that recognises the incredible social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also acknowledging the continued journey toward gender equality.

At Milestones Wyndham Vale, we take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the strong, inspiring women in our community. From our dedicated educators to the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, carers and role models in our children’s lives.

Purple is the official colour of International Women’s Day, symbolising justice, dignity and equality. Today our educators are proudly wearing purple in honour of the extraordinary women who shape our world and inspire the next generation. 💜
