🧑💼Why Career Growth Has Changed, And How Leaders Can Stay Ahead in 2026.🧑💼
The career landscape in has changed more in the past 2 years than the previous 20.
Leaders today aren’t just expected to manage people and deliver results, they’re expected to adapt, communicate, innovate, and grow continuously.
After working with leaders across , here’s what I’ve learned: 🔥Career growth today is not about experience. It’s about visibility, communication, and leadership capability.🔥
The 3 of
👉Rule 1: beats effort
You can work harder than everyone else…but if decision-makers can’t see your leadership, opportunities won’t appear. Visibility isn’t bragging, it’s demonstrating value.
👉Rule 2: creates credibility
Leaders who communicate clearly are trusted faster. Whether it’s a boardroom presentation, a project update, or a tough conversation, your communication shapes your professional identity.
👉Rule 3: is now a core skill
The leaders who grow fastest are not the ones who avoid weaknesses. They’re the ones who understand: what drives them, what limits them and how to lead with authenticity. They know clarity will not “arrive on its own”
🤔How to Prepare for Your Next Big Career Step?
Here’s a simple 3-step framework:
1️⃣ the next skill you need to grow:
Leadership, Communication, People Management, Influence, Decision Making
2️⃣ Build a simple
Weekly habits > dramatic changes.
3️⃣ Work with someone who keeps you
Most leaders don’t need more motivation, they need structure and support.
Your career is the result of your clarity, not your job title.
As you prepare for 2026, give yourself the space to think bigger, lead better, and develop the skills that will carry you into your next stage of growth.
Because when you invest in yourself, every area of your leadership grows with you.

An absolute cracker of a day at PMDoS 2025! 🎯
Huge appreciation to the Project Management Institute Melbourne Chapter and our Platinum Sponsor, Telstra . 💝
What a privilege to participate in this brilliant event where project management professionals and not-for-profit organisations came together for a day of collaboration, learning, and genuine impact.
The energy at the Telstra Customer Information Centre was fantastic. Teams worked together, problems were solved, strategies were shared, and partnerships were formed.
Here's what struck me: I've sat through my fair share of meetings over the years. But PMDoS' discussions? They were different. They had purpose. They had heart. They had real impact.
Huge thanks to every volunteer who showed up, every not-for-profit that trusted us with their challenges, and the brilliant leadership team who made it all happen.
Already looking forward to PMDoS 2026! 🙌

✨ Happy International Project Management Day.
It’s not just about Gantt charts and deadlines, it’s about holding space for transformation. It’s about guiding people through uncertainty with clarity, compassion, and courage. It’s about turning stress into strategy, and chaos into coherence.
To every project leader out there: you are the lighthouse in the storm. Keep shining.

🗣️ THE DELEGATION SCRIPT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
👎Stop saying: "Can you handle this?"
👍Start saying: "I'm delegating [specific task] to you because [reason why them]. The outcome I need is [specific result] by [date]. What questions do you have?"
Why this works:
✅ Shows confidence in their abilities
✅ Provides clear expectations
✅ Gives them ownership
✅ Opens dialogue
The difference between micromanaging and empowering? Clarity upfront.
Most executives delegate the task but not the authority. Don't be that leader.

🫠 I want to share a vulnerable moment that taught me something important about leadership.✨
⏳Early in my career, I was in a boardroom presentation, feeling confident about my prepared talking points. Then a senior executive 🤵 asked a challenging question I hadn't anticipated.
I felt completely exposed. The awkward pause. The uncertain response. I could see the around the table.
Walking out of that room, I realised something that changed my entire approach to :
"I had been trying to act 🎭 like the leader I thought I should be, instead of developing into the leader I could actually become."
Here are some insights I've gathered over the years (still learning every day):
🔹 Authenticity resonates more than perfection
🔹 It's okay to say "I don't know, but I'll find out"
🔹 Confidence isn't about having all the answers—it's about being comfortable with
🔹 The gap between "trying to lead" and "naturally leading" is a shift
I'm grateful for that uncomfortable moment —it started a journey of authentic leadership development that continues today.
The leaders I'm honored to coach often share similar insights with me - that their came when they shifted from copying other leaders to developing their own genuine executive presence.
📩I'd love to hear from : What's been a turning point in your leadership journey? Your experiences always teach me something new.💡
