Homemade Orange Juice Toddler 5 🍊

This week the children enjoyed making fresh orange juice together. Everyone had a turn squeezing the oranges and participating in the experience. Our educators do so much more than teach, they nurture, comfort, encourage, inspire and create beautiful moments that become lasting memories for our children and families.

The Many Languages of Emotions🎨🖍️

Building on the children’s growing curiosity about emotions, we invited them to explore and express their feelings through a creative drawing experience.

Using colours, lines, shapes and images, the children represented an emotion in their own unique way. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we recognised drawing as one of the many ways children can communicate, express ideas and make meaning of their experiences.

It was wonderful to see the children confidently share their ideas while educators listened, encouraged their thinking and celebrated each child’s individual expression. 💕✨

Through this experience, the children developed emotional awareness, creativity and confidence while discovering that there are many different ways to express and communicate how we feel.

The Toddler Rooms were filled with curiosity, creativity and collaboration! 💧🔬

Our children enthusiastically explored a water and oil experiment, taking turns dropping colourful water into the oil and watching in wonder as the colours moved and separated. This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, observation and scientific thinking.

The children also enjoyed a collaborative dramatic play experience with Classroom 6. After reading Wombat Stew together, they worked cooperatively to pretend-cook their very own stew, sharing ideas and developing their communication, imagination and teamwork skills. 🥕📚🦘

What a magical Book Week it has been! 📚✨ Today we celebrated with our Book Week Parade, and our service was filled with so many wonderful characters from our favourite books!

A huge thank you to all our families for getting creative and helping the children bring their favourite stories to life. We loved seeing everyone dressed up, sharing their favourite characters and celebrating the joy of reading together. ❤️📖

🔨 Construction Corner – encouraging problem-solving, creativity and hands-on learning.
🦘 Australian Animal Sensory Tray – exploring textures, animals and our wonderful Australian environment.
🧅 Onion Science Experiment – sparking curiosity as our toddlers discover, observe and ask questions about the world around them.
👶🍳 Imaginative Play – with kitchens and babies, giving children opportunities to recreate familiar experiences and develop their social skills.
📚 Reading Nook – a cosy space to slow down, enjoy a story and relax.

Every area has been thoughtfully designed to support learning through play, allowing our toddlers to explore their interests and build confidence along the way. 🌱💫

What an amazing turnout we had for our Kinder Information Night last Thursday! 💛

It was wonderful to see so many families come along, connect with our team and learn more about the exciting year ahead. Our two incredible Kinder Teachers guided families through the evening, sharing their knowledge, passion and vision for our Kinder program. 🌱📚
