KidsROAR Australia visited our centre to engage with our Kindergarten children in an important discussion about body safety. This incursion followed the recent online parent information session delivered by KidsROAR, providing families with an opportunity to learn about the Protective Behaviours program and the key messages that would be explored with the children.
Through age-appropriate and interactive experiences, the children were introduced to key concepts from the Protective Behaviours program, which aims to empower children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise unsafe situations and seek support when needed.
This visit marked the beginning of embedding Protective Behaviours within our program, reinforcing every child's right to feel safe at all times. The children explored strategies for identifying trusted adults, understanding their personal safety networks, recognising their feelings as important warning signs, and learning how to respond if they feel unsafe. By connecting the learning between home and the centre, this experience supported a consistent approach to children's safety and wellbeing. We look forward to continuing this learning throughout the year, helping children develop the confidence and resilience to advocate for their own wellbeing and safety.

Children’s Handbook 🍃📄
At Nido Rosanna, our Children’s Handbook was created together with our children and educators to reflect our warm, connected, and child-led community. It shares what makes our centre unique — where children’s voices are valued, relationships come first, and every child is supported to feel safe, heard, and empowered.
Families are welcome to receive a handbook when coming for a tour, or simply pop in if you would like to ask questions and learn more about our Nido community.

Flamenco Dance Experience! 💃
This week we had a very special visit from one of our parents, who kindly volunteered to share their Flamenco dancing with the children.
The children were captivated as they watched the graceful movements and listened to the rhythm of the music. They were then invited to join in and try some of the Flamenco steps themselves, showing great enthusiasm and joy as they explored the dance.
It was a wonderful experience that supported the children’s appreciation of different cultures, movement, and music, while also building confidence to express themselves through dance.
