-The benefit of creating multiple savings accounts-

I'm not sure whether you've heard from grandmums or mums about how they used something called "the envelop system" to divide their earnings into multiple buckets to ensure they don't overspend.

Do you know that some banks allow you to create multiple accounts in the same way without any cost?

When I found out about that facility in Up - Easy Money I was shocked.

This bank offers so much convenience in creating multiple accounts and the interface is so awesome that you feel like saving more and staying on track.

Of course, do you own research before opening an account with any new bank.

Either way, the lesson is to make sure that you divide your salary into different buckets with or without a bank account and promise yourself not to touch your savings bucket or your emergency fund bucket when you see that nice handbag or pair of shoes .

When we have a specific goal in our head, may it be in terms of finance, education, a specific job, it is natural for us to work at a stretch 24/7. And that is completely alright.

But,

there will be days when you are making no progress at all 😔

There will be days, when everything you do goes in the wrong direction 😭

There will be days, when you feel exhausted and want to give up 😓

My message is for you on days you feel like that. When you are about to break, that’s when you MUST take a break. 🤒

Most of the time, we tend to give up, when we feel the worst about ourselves. So, if you are having a day like that, the solution is taking a BREAK, not giving up.

So, next time, when you feel terrible, immediately stop everything you do. Ask from yourself “what can I do to make myself happy?”

It could be a walk outside 🌲, watching a movie 🎞, eating a piece of chocolate 🍫, calling a friend 👯, or even taking a nap 😴.

Do whatever makes you happy, and calm.

Recharge yourself and start hustling from next day!

Count the angels instead of demons…

Are you someone who is wishing for a life only filled with happiness? If the answer is yes, I dare you! First, find a person whose life has only been filled with happiness, joy or whatever you call it… The chances are that you would not find a single person on earth who has only experienced happiness.. Such is life…

If you experience happiness, you would also experience sadness, and vice versa. The real beauty of life comes from living through all these experiences and making meaning out of it.

But, it is indeed a hard thing to do. Especially, when you are having a really tough time, it will feel like it’s end of the world. When someone betrays your trust, you will feel like you will never be able to trust again. For a moment, let’s think about all the people that have made our lives a living hell. For some, it could be a partner, for some, it could be their own parents or family, for some it could be their bosses or colleagues… And the list goes on!

And most of the time, we being human, are unable to forget what they did to us, how they hurt us or how they attacked us in the least expected moments. That’s how we go to dark places where we feel depressed and worthless. In those moments, there is only one practice you have to keep doing.

- Think about all the nice people who stood by you when we were going through the hardest times in life

- Think how the people who love you comforted you, made you laugh and helped you to get out of the bed when you thought you wouldn’t be able to do so.

- Think about how each trouble you were presented with was converted to a beautiful lesson by you step by step, taking your own time so that you would not let another person go through the same pain you went through…

If you can shift your energy to think of all the wonderful things that happened to you even when you thought your world was filled with darkness, those experiences are blessings in disguise.

So, stop giving importance to people who don’t deserve your attention. Focus on the few but truly amazing people in your life who appear like angels in the times you need a hand to hold.

"I am sorry..." - Feeling guilty for wrongs you did not even commit

From the childhood, some of us are trained to say "please, thank you, and sorry" to make ourselves appear polite in front of the society. While a thank you and a sorry can actually mean a lot to another person when used at the right place and right time, I think these words are highly overrated.

In fact, I started feeling terrible once I got this light bulb moment when I realised I say sorry way too many times.

Another person does not pay attention and accidentally hurt you, you say sorry... Someone is taking the trolley carelessly in the supermarket and it hits you, again you are sorry... Somebody decides to come to a meeting really late and you think that person is not coming and leave the building, you are sorry...

Sorry... Sorry... Sorry...

I say sorry to people every time I step out of the house. And then once I had enough when a man really hurt my leg by stepping on it and I decided to say sorry (unconsciously) whereas the same man acted as if I did not even exist. That person saw through me and for those of you who have had that experience, it is something very painful... It is as if you don't matter to the world and you don't even exist in the eyes of others...

Especially, if you are living in a foreign land away from family and friends, this hurts even more. So, there are two things we can learn from this. One: We all could be having tough days and tough moments, but those moments are not excuses to behave terribly towards another human being.

Two: Rather than saying sorry or thank you in autopilot mode, next time, use those words only when you truly mean them. You don't owe the world apologies and thank you's just to please them. Give those words and yourselves more worth by choosing to say them at the right place and at the right time.

Finding success in failures...

Have you ever been in a situation where you found out that you are not getting the job you dreamt of (despite all the qualifications you have got)? Have you ever failed an exam that you really, really, reallyyy wanted to get through? Have you ever wondered no matter how hard you try, sometimes, success wouldn't follow you?

Then this post is for you.

I know it is heart-breaking to lose that one job you wanted to have, one university you wanted to attend or one person you wanted to love. But, my friend, please trust the blessings in disguise.

May be if you were given that job, you would not pursue a business that would make you a millionaire one day... May be that University you badly wanted to attend would not fit your future interests or pave a great path to a successful career... May be that person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with do not want you because there is so much hidden potential within you that is to be discovered and the Universe wants you to focus on yourself first...

When things start falling apart, it is really difficult to see anything beyond that. I have been there too. But, you've got to hang in there tight and just breathe... What matters the most is that you keep going. Grab the opportunity that is given to you no matter how small it is without dwelling on failure because that small opportunity could be a message from the Universe to give you something 100 times better than what you wanted!

Is it a world without any opportunity or are you just being lazy?

There was a time when I used to curse the world, the country I live in, and the corrupt politicians for anything and everything that would go wrong in my life.

Now, don't get me wrong... I do believe that poor decisions of the government and the corruption of political leaders are two of the main reasons as to why the living standards of people can be very low.

However, if we have enough motivation and courage, we can make our lives beautiful with or without the support of the government. So, what exactly do we need to achieve success without anyone's help?

🎯 No matter what level of education you have, know that each one of us have some talents that are very unique.

🎯 So, your first step would be identifying those challenges. This could be a talent in writing, selling a product, creating a software, accounting, having a great voice, being able to play a musical instrument, or anything that you can possibly imagine to serve the human beings or even animals.

🎯 Google...Google...Google: Once you identify you talent, the next task is to identify your market. Do a quick Google search and you will be able to see people who are offering similar products and services. Then, you can start marketing your talents.

🎯 Being persistent: Well, this is actually more important than the talent. As I told earlier, if everyone has some unique talent how come not all people are successful? That comes down to persistence. Even with the greatest talent in the world, you may not be successful at once. May be, even if you get successful over night, you may not know how to retain that success. But, if you are persistent in front of the challenges, and take a teeny tiny step towards your goal every day, you will be more successful than the person who strongly believes in his or her challenge but fail to produce results consistently.

My dear friends, this message is just remind that you are the master of your own life. So, to make your life beautiful, you just have to take charge. We will keep ageing either way. So, why not try to make that forgotten dream of yours come true by working a little hard?

So, when I was at the nail spa today doing a mani-pedi, the lady next to me smiled and asked “are you going on a date tonight?…” I smiled back and said “No, this is to stay at home in PJs, watching Netflix while eating Cheetos”

The look on her face was priceless 😆

Moral of the story: 1. Mind your own business, 2. women need to be more aware of self love and care. What matters the most is that you should appear beautiful for yourself, not for others…

Living an extraordinary life by focussing on the ordinary things around you…
Do you have days when you get up from the bed having this empty feeling inside you? You created a to-do list before going to bed last day but it feels like a curse even to look at it because you feel that something is missing.
Sometimes, even though you may like the job you do, you will still feel that there is no true meaning in your life. So, this post is for you if you love your job, but still find it difficult to get out of the bed on certain days.
So, what we need to do to make our lives better? The simple secret is to find pleasure in something ordinary that you do in your everyday life that you have not valued earlier.
If you are living on your own, this would mean looking forward to that morning coffee when you get up and spice up that moment by playing some music in the background while sipping your cup of coffee. Well, if you are a mum or dad, this would be a little challenging. But what matters is that you find a thing that you know deep down makes you happy, but you have not appreciated earlier.

If we really break things up, this is also about being grateful. When you get up in the morning, listen to your surroundings carefully. It could be just the chirping of birds or even the sounds of vehicles if you are living closer to the road. Now, visualize in mind, what is happening outside (but focus only on the positive!).
Little moments like this where you are mindful about the present would help you to kickstart your day. Even when you are commuting, rather than distracting yourself by clutter in social media, listen to your favourite song (again, not a sad one please!) or read your favourite book (sometimes, I read children's story books because they are so simple but so beautiful).

Find time for yourself in the simplest tasks that you that often go unnoticed and undervalued. You might have to do this by force at the very beginning. But once you get used to it, trust me, your days would be much better! And this is how the most ordinary things that you do every day would make your life extraordinary.
