The School welcomed the Class of 1986 for their 40 Year Reunion. It was a wonderful evening filled with heartfelt conversations and shared memories.

Attendees had the opportunity to reconnect with past teachers Dr Anne Hunt, Sue Stockdale, and Mike Mulcahy. We also extend our thanks to alumni Margie Ralph, Judy Quin, and Emma Carnovale for speaking beautifully to their cohort. 💙

Their words perfectly highlighted the enduring bond our alumni share with one another and with Loreto Toorak. Thank you to all who attended and celebrated our School community. ✨

A group of Loreto Toorak Alumni braved the weather at Sorrento Golf Club for our 58th Past Pupils' Annual Golf Day.

The traditions commenced the evening prior with a wonderful pre-golf dinner hosted by Joan Cumbrae-Stewart (1972), providing a perfect opportunity for the group to reconnect before heading to the course.

This event remains a favourite amongst our seasoned golfers, and it was fabulous to welcome new players to the green, spanning across the decades. Following the tournament, our alumni enjoyed a joyous lunch together at the club.

Congratulations to our top performers: Caroline Silk (Woodley, 1981) secured first place with a fantastic 42 stableford points, closely followed by Victoria Watson (Lawler, 1991) on 41, and Jo Cheetham in third place with 39. 🏆

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to such a memorable event. Our past pupils beautifully demonstrate the enduring spirit and vibrant community connection of our School. 💙

The community of Loreto Toorak joins the CJ (Loreto) Sisters of Australia and South East Asia, in mourning the death of Sr Anne McPhee CJ (Sr Magdalen) on April 20 2026 at St Vincent's Aged Care in Hawthorn.

Sr Anne lived her life devoted to education, leadership and service, impacting countless people in Australia and internationally, through her wisdom and integrity, and her life long commitment to seeking truth and doing justice.

An inspiring and principled leader, Sr Anne was Mistress of School at Loreto Toorak from 1970-1972 and as Province Leader from 1984-1989 oversaw the process of the appointment of Dr Anne Hunt as the first lay Principal of Loreto Toorak in 1989.

Sr Anne was a friend and mentor to many, a woman of felicity, good humour, generosity and vision. A true and faith filled Mary Ward woman, she has left a legacy of compassion and hope for a more peaceful and sustainable world.
