Want to perform at the next MELBOURNE SALSA Student Showcase and be a part of our biggest event of the year?

The prestigious MELBOURNE SALSA GALA BALL returns on Saturday 11th November at the majestic Thornbury Theatre.

Join a performance team and showcase your inner child so that your family and friends will finally understand why you miss family dinners, afterwork drinks and arrive home late on a school night.

Afraid of the stage? Don’t worry cause you won’t be alone, you'll be dancing with friends, your instructor will be in your corner and to wow the audience the amazing Latin big band will be playing live.

There are 5 teams to choose from, do one or do them all.
**SALSA – BACHATA – CUBAN SALSA – LADIES SALSA SHINES – 55+ SALSA **

Performance training commences from the weekend of 26th & 27th August for 10 weeks.

You will be required to perform at this event to do the course.

BACHATA INT/ADV Performance Team with Julian & Kiki

Commencing Sunday 27th August – Sunday 5th November
(10 weeks Excluding Footy & Melb Cup Long weekend)
4.30pm – 5.30pm at The Melb Salsa Studio Collingwood

This year's bachata performance will be jammed with flow, flavour, and history.
This choreography will take you on a unique journey. Not only will you get to learn the origins of Bachata but you will get to learn two important styles (Dominican Son and Bolero) that made bachata what it is now.

During the performance course you will connect with every single team member and by doing so will help you connect with any person you dance with on the social dance floor. You will also be learning musicality, footwork, body movement, and more.

***INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED DANCERS ONLY***
Entry is via audition only.

Audition Date: Sunday 13th August 5.00pm sharp at the Melbourne Salsa Studio.

You will take part in a group salsa class, you will not be dancing on your own and it will not feel like an audition. There are limited places so please register your interest with us now!

Once selected, you must be available to attend the 10 week performance course and perform at the Melbourne Salsa Showcase on Saturday 11th November.

Being part of a team is a commitment and we want every student to grow and experience the thrill of performing!

Cost: $335 includes entry to the Event.
*Please note this price does not include costume, this is an additional cost TBC (approx. $150)
