World Gratitude Day🙏🏻💕
What are you grateful for?
🙏🏻Every morning I write out a gratitude list to start the day; it’s a great way to set intentions and reflect on what you already have.
🙏🏻I’m grateful for the amazing staff that help me keep ‘the dream’ alive while we all juggle life.
🙏🏻I’m grateful for my family and friends that always support me.
🙏🏻I’m grateful to be able to constantly learn more & unlearn things when there are new or different ways that work better.
🙏🏻I’m grateful to be privileged in supporting kids and their families through their learning journeys.
🙏🏻I’m grateful for my health and having the energy to do all the things I want to do.

Talking Careers…
I was honoured to be invited to discuss career pathways, the work that I do and the path I took to get to where I am today with some wonderful year 10 students at Donvale Christian College today.
Some key things we discussed:-
*Follow your passion and do something you love 💕
*There is no need to know ‘what you want to do/be’ this will constantly change and evolve as you change and evolve.
*There are many pathways into careers, many of which don’t even exist yet.
*Respectful relationships, connection and nurture are the foundations of education.
*The importance of learning through play.
What a privilege to chat with these future leaders.
I love the diversity and opportunities being an education consultant, teacher and business owner have given me.

Well that was unexpected! Some nights you just don’t know what parenting is going to throw at you. Tonight was one of those with a major meltdown. If there’s anything I’m learning about trauma based approaches and humanistic play therapy it’s this; “Lean In”👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
*So challenging when you’re feeling triggered yourself, but you are enough, behaviour is communication, attunement, synchronicity and connection are the key to emotional regulation.

Bit quiet our end, been battling the mega cold doing the rounds at the moment! Love this article shared by Made By Dyslexia. Something I cannot emphasise more when parents are worried about their kids spelling. We can empower them with rules to support spelling but ultimately the goal is to be literate; acofidebt reader and writer. Technology can support with editing of errors. Focus on the brilliance of storytelling 💕
