Pregnancy invites you into a deeper relationship with your body - one that asks for listening, not pushing.

As your body changes, your interoceptive sense (your ability to feel what’s happening inside - hunger, fatigue, baby’s movements, emotional shifts) becomes more pronounced. You may notice subtle cues more clearly, or feel things you’ve never felt before. At the same time, your proprioceptive sense (your awareness of where your body is in space) begins to shift as your centre of gravity changes and your body grows and adapts.

These aren’t inconveniences - they’re invitations.

Invitations to slow down.

To move with more awareness.

To trust the feedback your body is constantly offering.

You might find yourself moving differently without even realising it. Turning sideways to pass through spaces. Pausing before getting up. Adjusting how you roll in bed. Becoming more mindful of where furniture sits as you navigate your home.

Simple tasks may feel unfamiliar - like tying your shoelaces, reaching for something on the floor, or carrying items the way you once did without thinking.

This is your body recalibrating. Communicating. Protecting.

Instead of resisting these changes, what happens if you meet them with curiosity?

What has your body been asking of you lately - and have you been able to listen?

I’d love to hear… what everyday activities have changed for you since becoming pregnant?

That tender spot at the base of your skull…

The occipital ridge often holds deep tension - especially with feeding and looking down often.

Massage brings softness and space to this often-overlooked area.

Come in, or stay home and let me come to you.

Progress in labour doesn’t always look how you expect.

It’s not just about timing contractions or waiting for a number.

Progress can look like:
〰️A shift in your breath or sound
〰️Wanting to move differently (or not at all)
〰️Going inward, quieter, more focused
〰️Sensations changing location, intensity, or rhythm

Your body is constantly adapting and reorganising to make space for your baby.

In our workshop, we help you recognise these signs so you can trust what’s unfolding - instead of second guessing it.

Wrapping up another Bloom series, and I’m reminded again how powerful it is to bring a circle of expecting women together.

There’s something deeply nourishing about having space to share stories, to be witnessed, and to gently explore all the layers of becoming that unfold during matrescence. The excitement, the uncertainty, the shifts in identity, the quiet reflections - all of it belongs here.

Each group carries its own rhythm, its own honesty, and its own kind of magic. It’s such a privilege to hold space for these conversations and connections.

Our next Bloom series begins July 25 in Preston. If you’re feeling called to be supported in your pregnancy journey, I’d love to welcome you in.

Visit the Eve Studio website for more information, or DM with any questions.

Being a birth partner isn’t all about having the right words.

It’s about knowing what to do with your energy in the room.

When labour is building, your role might look like:

🤎Creating a calm, contained environment
🤎Offering physical support that matches the moment
🤎Helping your partner move when they can’t think clearly
🤎Tracking the flow of labour so decisions feel less overwhelming

This is the kind of preparation that turns uncertainty into grounded action.

Inside Embodied Birth: Labour & Partner Prep, we practice this together - so it feels familiar, not theoretical.

As winter settles in, the world grows quieter.

The earth rests. The light softens. Energy draws inward.

This season doesn’t ask for blooming or becoming - it asks for tending, for conserving, for deep, restorative rest.

There is wisdom in the slowing. In the earlier nights. In the pull to stay close to warmth, to home, to self.
Is there space for you to meet that invitation?

To do less, soften your edges, and honour your need for rest?

Even in small ways - a slower morning, an earlier night, a moment to pause - this is the work of winter.

You are allowed to move gently here.

Holding your baby, holding tension…

Your upper back works constantly - feeding, carrying, soothing.

Over time, that effort can become tightness, fatigue, even pain.

Massage supports your body to unwind, soften, and recover from the daily load of caring.

Because your body matters too.

Book your session in-home, or at MIWM-WOMEN'S, KIDS & INFANT CLINIC _ DR AMBER HART (Parkville) or Hatched House 🥚Women’s Health Clinic (Hawthorn).

Where do you feel it most after a long day?

Your pelvis isn’t one static space - it has levels, and each one asks for something different.

In pregnancy and labour, the way you move can:

🌱Create space at the inlet (helping baby engage)

🌱Support rotation through the mid-pelvis

🌱Make room at the outlet for descent and birth

This is why one position won’t suit every stage.

We explore how to:

🌱Use movement intuitively, not rigidly

🌱Follow your body’s cues as labour changes

🌱Work with gravity, rest, and support

🌱Adapt positions for your unique body and baby

So when labour comes, you’re not guessing - you’re responding.

Working alongside new mums over time is such a privilege.

As a postpartum doula, I’m there in the quiet moments and the hard ones - witnessing the challenges feeding can bring, whether it’s breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or finding a path somewhere in between.

I see the persistence, the doubt, the learning… and I celebrate every tiny milestone as mums begin to find their rhythm. Because those small shifts? They’re everything.
Then comes another transition - introducing solids.

A whole new layer of decision-making, emotions, and adjustments as feeding becomes a blend of milk and food, and the flow changes again.

Parenting is never static. It’s an ever-changing landscape - not just in how we care for our babies, but in how we grow and reshape ourselves alongside them.

And through it all, no one is meant to do it alone.

I’m there to support, to guide gently, and to remind mums that they’re doing better than they think 🤍

How did you find the transition to solids - smooth, messy, confusing, or something else entirely?
