During Reconciliation Week the children have been learning how to use Aboriginal symbols in their art and story-telling.
"The circles are part of the land, the stones."
"This is my daddy, this one is me and this is my mummy. We are going to do hiking. This is the path to go. I saw lizard footprints."

We read the indigenous book Cunning Crow by Gregg Dreise, which teaches us about envy, acceptance and feeling proud of who we are. In the outdoor environment children engaged in dramatic play wearing colourful bird wings.

May 11- 17 is National Families Week and this year's theme is Every Family, Everywhere.
Last night we recognised National Families Week by welcoming our community to kinder for "Family Night."
It was lovely to see the children so excited to share the wonder of kinder with their families.

We learnt that red poppies symbolise remembrance for those who fought in wars.
