Today I went to see a private surgeon for a second opinion about my back, after about 45min she enlightened to the fact that at this stage I dont need surgery which confirmed what I already new. But as the degeneration of my thorasic spine continues I will eventually need major surgery, the only thing she could not tell me was when, she did suggest that I see a specialist once a year to keep an eye on it. I'm not sure how I feel about this prognosis or how I should feel. Life just seems to keep throwing its challenges at me and normally I would bounce back and battle on but its been a long journey over the last 15yrs and Im feeling tied not only physically but emotionally. I now understand why it is so easy to just give up.

Why having a Plan B can sometimes backfire Research has found that having a backup plan might actually sabotage your efforts toward Plan A. Before you set up your safety net, read these lessons from women scientists.
Family violence is one of the big issues of today.
But what happens when the perpetrator doesn't learn and after 5 years still doesn't admit or except they have done anything wrong? You keep applying for IVO's and hope that the judge will finely get sick of seeing you and finally issue an indefinite one.
Every time you have to apply for the IVO you know he will contest it and it drags on, increasing your stress levels and anxiety causing more depression, but what can you do. I had to make the choice the other week, do I let him get away with it and risk him thinking he has the right to do what he wants or do I suffer for the short term to to gain the long term peace. I went for the later. There are many who wouldn't and don't and end up paying the consequences. I wasn't willing to risk it.
As I sit hear at Futsal Oz Mr Evelyn watching my son doing his keeper training, I ponder on life's chores, what needs to be done and what has been done this weekend.
In life we need to prioritise in order of importance, what is urgent to the not so urgent and remember that we need to take time to enjoy the important things in life what ever they may be, self, family, friends or just what the world has to offer. 🤔
