This week, our school is recognising National Reconciliation Week 2026 and embracing this year’s theme, β€œAll In for Reconciliation.” β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ–€

Across the week, our students will take part in classroom activities and discussions that encourage them to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives. Through these experiences, students will explore the values of respect, kindness, inclusion and understanding.

Together, we are helping our students build empathy, celebrate diversity and learn how each of us can contribute to a stronger and more connected community.

Yesterday, our students took part in National Sorry Day learning experiences and meaningful classroom discussions. Through activities and resources from our Crew, students explored the values of kindness, empathy and understanding while learning about the importance of truth-telling and reconciliation.

Students were encouraged to reflect on our shared history, listen respectfully to different perspectives, and think about how they can help create a more inclusive and caring community for everyone.

We are proud of the thoughtful way our students engaged in these important conversations. β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ–€

πŸ’›β€οΈ National Sorry Day – 26 May

Today, we pause to acknowledge National Sorry Dayβ€”a day of remembrance, reflection and respect as we recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and acknowledge the Stolen Generations.

As a school community, we continue to learn, listen and work together towards understanding, reconciliation and a more inclusive future.

Reflect. Respect. Heal. Together. πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ
