๐ฑ Building Responsibility Through Play ๐ฑ
Today, the children engaged in a playdough experience and showed a wonderful sense of responsibility by choosing to clean up the mess they had made.
Using a broom and dustpan, they worked with persistence and concentration, even extending their efforts to help clean other areas of the room. With gentle support, they explored new tools to collect larger pieces, demonstrating problem-solving skills and growing confidence along the way.
A strong sense of pride was evident once the space was clean, highlighting the value of meaningful, real-life learning experiences and fostering independence. ๐โจ

๐ฟ Exploring Our Community at Douglas Reserve! ๐ฟ
We had a wonderful morning adventuring to Douglas Reserve! The Kookaburras were so excited to visit a new park for the very first time. Even though it was a longer walk than our usual trip to Green Park, they did an amazing job following guidance and walking safely together with the ropeโwell done, everyone! ๐
Along the way, the children showed great curiosity about their surroundings. They were fascinated by a construction site, watching a digger hard at work building a house. We also discovered a beautiful wall filled with flower artwork, and on our return journey, we spotted a patch of lovely flowersโplus two bright yellow ladybugs! ๐๐
At the playground, there was plenty of fun to be had! The children explored the swings, climbed a big fort with a tall slide, enjoyed the spinner, and played with trucks in the sandpit. There were so many smiles and lots of laughter throughout the morning.
By the end of our adventure, everyone was happily tiredโand definitely hungry! ๐
Experiences like these support children in building confidence, resilience, and a strong connection to their local community. We love watching their sense of belonging grow as they explore the world around them. ๐
