Our lecture Dr Rajjan Chitrakar made a presentation with the title "From CBD to CAD: Melbourne city centre as a model for sustainable urban regeneration" at the State of Australasian Cities Conference 2025 being held at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.

Thank you Dr Chitrakar for representing Melbourne Polytechnic in this significant event which is being attended by highly accomplished academicians and researchers from the top universities in Australia and New Zealand.

Thank you all for visiting the HEBAA End of Year Exhibition 2025 at our Collingwood Campus. It was a wonderful evening to showcase some of our best and selected student design work of this year.

It was a very fruitful session with Oliver Griffin-Danby who came to talk to our architectural design students about the importance of graphic design and presentation in architecture.

Ollie has recently completed a Master of Architecture degree from RMIT and now works with Law Architects ( https://www.lawarchitects.com.au/).

A huge thanks to Dr Elisa Casagrande for delivering a lecture on system thinking and complex theories in urbanism for our students in the Architecture and Urbanism subject.

It was an interesting and growing topic and hope our students have benefited from the lecture.

Elisa is a Senior Urban Designer at the City of Whittlesea and an Executive Member of Urban Design Forum Australia.

Our students made a tour of the Iglu Melbourne Central student accommodation building as part of thier design studio project.

It was a pleasure for us to see the building and the fantastic student support facilities. It has been a very helpful learning experience for the students.
