๐๏ธโจ Our Year 1/2 students have been using The Day the Crayons Quit as their mentor text and exploring the feelings and perspectives of each colourful character!
Using the crayonsโ letters as inspiration, students thought carefully about how each crayon might be feeling and explained the reasons behind those emotions. From feeling overworked and forgotten to feeling proud and appreciated, their creativity and empathy truly shone through. ๐ญโค๏ธ
We are so proud of the thoughtful writing and colourful illustrations they created!
๐ฌ Stay tunedโฆ our young authors are now taking the next step and writing persuasive letters from the perspective of classroom objects. We canโt wait to share what they come up with next!

On Monday the 15th, the Year 3/4 students went to the Melbourne Museum. When we arrived, we split into our classes and began our activities. We learned about the First Peoples Gallery, explored the Milarri Garden, and took part in a scavenger hunt. We also looked at dinosaur bones and examined both live and dead bugs. It was an interesting and enjoyable day. - Janessa (3/4 F)

Our classroom was full of smiles, laughter and friendly competition as students wrapped up their learning about Location and Space! ๐ฒ๐บ๏ธ
Over the past two weeks, students have been developing their understanding of position and direction in Mathematics. To celebrate all they had learned, they put their skills into action through a fun board game that challenged them to follow and give directions using language such as left, right, forwards and backwards.
It was wonderful to see students confidently applying their learning, working together and having fun along the way. A fantastic way to finish our Location and Space unit!
