Selected Year 1 and 2 students had an exciting opportunity to participate in the VCES Bin Chicken program designed for high-ability learners. Students were captivated by authors Kate and Jol Temple as they explored the popular Bin Chickenseries and asked questions about storytelling and the writing process. They then took part in a hands-on STEM workshop where they designed mini recycling bins, classified rubbish, explored how ibis body parts help them survive in urban environments, and created their own bin chicken models. The students enthusiastically shared their ideas, demonstrated creative problem-solving and enjoyed learning through this fun and engaging experience.
