Mum says you’re here to look after me, but I think you look after her a little bit too.

When you come over, she gets to finish her work, drink her coffee while it’s still warm or sometimes just have a moment to herself.

And I get someone who knows how I like my toast cut, remembers that Teddy comes everywhere and understands that the blue cup is the only cup.

So yes, you’re my nanny but I think Mum needs you just as much as I do

The thing about parenting is that your day doesn’t really end.

It just changes. You finish work and suddenly you’re making dinner. Then you’re cleaning up. Then you’re folding washing. Then you’re getting everyone ready for bed.

Before you know it, the whole evening has disappeared. That’s why we love house management so much. Not because it’s about having a perfectly tidy home, but because it gives you back a little bit of your evening.

A little more time to sit on the floor and play, a little more time to read “just one more” bedtime story and a little more time to simply be with your children.

Sometimes, that’s the biggest difference of all. 🤍

Spend enough time with little people and you quickly realise… they have a LOT to say.

You’ll hear about what happened at kinder, who they’re going to marry, why they definitely don’t need to go to bed, something Mum apparently said they’re allowed to do (we’ll be checking that one 👀) and a story that started with a dinosaur and somehow ended with what they had for breakfast.

It’s one of our favourite parts of getting to know them, you never quite know what you’re going to hear next.

A little life and Gracie HQ update 🤍

Since welcoming Annabelle, there’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at Gracie. Our team is growing, we’ve welcomed a new National Executive Manager, three new Family Managers are joining us, and two paediatric registered nurses are coming in-house to strengthen our child safety, compliance and nanny training and somewhere amongst all of that, we’ve welcomed around 90 new families across Australia.

A very full season, in all the best ways. So much happening at Gracie, and so much still to come
