If this feels familiar, it’s because it is. We speak to so many mums who feel like they should be able to manage it all on their own.

Who thinks they just need to be more organised, more on top of things but the reality is, it’s not about doing more. It’s about having the right kind of support around you. If you’ve been thinking about support, this is your sign to explore it.

She started with a few afternoons a week. School pick-ups, snacks at the bench, and helping out where it was needed. Over time, she became someone the girls looked for. Someone they were excited to see. Three years later, they made her a birthday card.

Inside it said, “You’re like my second mum.” Not something anyone asked them to write. Just what it felt like to them. This is what happens when the right person comes into the right home.

As the founder of Gracie, I’ve guided so many families through this process, and now I’m going through it myself.

I’m due in a few weeks, running a large business, and returning to work around six weeks postpartum, so I knew I needed support that truly worked.

I followed the same process we offer every family. Reviewing, interviewing, shortlisting, and ultimately choosing the nanny that felt right for us.

I needed morning support to get me and the baby ready; help around the home during the day; and when I’m back, the space to fully switch off and just be a mum.

It’s the only way I can see myself doing both. And going through this myself, I can see it so clearly; the right support is what allows you to be both.

Grace didn’t start this as a business idea, she started it by living it 🤍

Most people think having a nanny just means school pick-ups and after-school drop-offs.

And yes, it can be that but more often, it looks like someone coming in early so you’re not doing everything alone before your day has even started.

It’s the small things already handled and the pressure eased before it builds. It’s coming home after a long day and not going straight into your second shift.

They just need support in the moments that feel the hardest to carry on their own. 🤍
