Indigenous Literacy Day – Learning Through Creativity

Our little learners celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day by decorating Indigenous-inspired signs using colourful pebbles. They carefully selected, placed and arranged the pebbles to create their own beautiful designs. The children were excited to explore patterns, textures and colours while sharing their ideas with educators and friends.

This engaging experience supported the EYLF outcomes by enhancing:

* Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
* Creativity and self-expression
* Concentration and problem-solving
* Cultural awareness and respect
* Communication and social interaction

It was a meaningful, hands-on learning experience where children enjoyed creating while developing an appreciation for Indigenous culture.

💙 Little Hands, Big Love for Dad! 💙

Our little learners created beautiful little hearts using their hands as a special Father’s Day keepsake. ✋❤️ We talked about all the wonderful things their dads do for them, and I wrote down their sweet responses. The children proudly shared how much they love their dads and enjoyed talking about their special moments together.

💙 Father’s Day Handprint Fun! 🎨

Our little learners had so much fun creating special handprint artworks for Father’s Day! They were so excited when the paint was gently applied to their little hands and eagerly waited for their turns. Each child proudly made their unique handprint, creating a beautiful keepsake to share with their dads.

📚🐮 Book Week Farm Animal Fun! 🌾

Our Book Week activity brought the farm to life! The children enjoyed creating and exploring a fun farm animal setup together. They decorated the little pond using pebbles and added dried grass to make the farm feel more realistic. The children loved arranging the materials, talking about the animals and using their imagination during play.

📚✨ Book Week Fun! 🎭

Book Week was full of excitement as the kids came dressed as their favourite book characters and proudly brought along their favourite books. They enjoyed sharing their stories, talking about the characters they love, and showing their friends their special books. It was wonderful to see their imagination and love for reading shine through! 📖🌟

🦖📚 Book Week: A Roaring Dinosaur Adventure! 🌿

Our little explorers had a roaringly fun Book Week celebration! 🦕✨ The kids dressed up in adorable dinosaur outfits and stepped into a prehistoric world filled with rocks, trees and friendly dinosaurs. They loved exploring the themed setup, using their imagination and pretending to be little dinosaur adventurers. 🪨🌳🦖 It was wonderful to see their excitement, creativity and joy as they brought their favourite dinosaur stories to life through imaginative play and dress-up. What a fantastic Book Week adventure! 📖💚

The kids had fun creating their favourite food plates by choosing and pasting food pictures according to their own preferences. This activity supported learning through creativity and hands-on exploration.

💧💦 Hydration Matters for Growing Kids! 🌈

Drinking enough water is very important for children’s health, energy and overall wellbeing. 💧 During our middle session, we talk about why water is important and how it helps our bodies throughout the day. We also make hydration fun by counting together! 😊

* 💦 We count 10 sips of water together.
* 🧠 We learn why our bodies need water.
* 💪 Water helps us stay active and refreshed.
* 🌟 We encourage children to drink regularly.
* 🏠 We make sure they have plenty of water before going home.
