We celebrated Early Childhood Educators Day at Guardian Bentleigh with some special treats for our wonderful team. It was a lovely chance to take a moment together, enjoy some goodies and celebrate the incredible educators who make up our Bentleigh community.

A special celebration for our special people! 💙☕
We had a lovely time celebrating Father’s Day and Special Person’s Day at Guardian Bentleigh, bringing our families and special people together for coffee, delicious treats and plenty of fun!
There was some amazing music, singing and dancing, with everyone enjoying some quality time together and getting into the celebrations.
A big thank you to all the dads, father figures and special people who joined us. We loved having you here and celebrating together!

We couldn’t not share this sweet moment! 🐒✨
Our Toddlers have been having so much fun with puppets and shadows, creating little animals and shapes on the wall.
Some children got busy making shadows with their bodies, while others were busy with their puppets, singing songs and bringing their little characters to life.

We couldn’t resist one more Book Week post! 📚✨
What a fun week we had, with plenty of favourite book characters and costumes popping up around the centre!
We also took a moment to recognise Red Nose Day, with our team proudly wearing their red noses. ❤️🔴
Red Nose Day is all about getting silly for a serious cause, helping raise awareness and support the important work Red Nose does to save little lives.
Safe to say, last week gave us plenty to celebrate, while also supporting a very important cause.

We couldn’t finish the week without sharing a few more of the fun costumes we’ve had around the centre! From dinosaurs and Minions to Ninja Turtles and princesses, our children and educators have really embraced the Book Week spirit. So many favourite characters and plenty of fun along the way!

Book Week fun! 📚✨
We’ve been having so much fun getting into the Book Week spirit, with the team dressing up as some of our favourite characters too!
From PJs for Tilly’s Pink Pajama Book, to Paddington Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, there have been plenty of fun characters making an appearance around the centre.
We can’t wait to see what other book characters pop up next!

Growing our learning, together! 💛

We love continuing to grow our professional development through training, and this time we’re learning alongside Radhika!

Radhika is sharing the importance of reading and showing our team how interactive experiences can support early speech and literacy. From building sentences and exploring syllables with clapping sticks to using pre-phonics sound cards, there are lots of practical ideas to take back into our rooms.

We love learning new ways to support our children and bringing fresh ideas into our everyday experiences!

🔬 Science Week in the Toddler Space! 🌈

Our toddlers have been exploring how flowers change colour when their stems are placed in coloured water. They discovered that the coloured water travels up through the stems and into the petals, creating a wonderful opportunity to explore colour and change. 🌼💧

The children enjoyed identifying and naming the different colours while making predictions and observations. We encouraged their curiosity with questions such as:

“What do you think will happen to the flowers?”
“What changes can you see?”
“What colour do you think the flower will become?”

A hands-on science experience filled with curiosity, discovery and lots of colourful learning

Week Two of Baby Circle at Guardian Bentleigh! 📚

A big thank you to all the families who joined us this week for Reading with Baby. It was lovely to welcome everyone back to Guardian Bentleigh and spend the morning sharing stories, exploring books and enjoying time together.

Our educators shared some simple and fun ways families can enjoy reading with their babies, creating opportunities for connection and early learning that can continue at home too!

We’re already looking forward to Week Three: Playing with Baby and can’t wait to welcome everyone back!
