It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of past parent Stuart Foley on Monday 13 April.
Stuart was a loving parent to four St Catherine’s Old Girls, Lisa Clemenger (Foley ’79), Pia Perkins (Foley ’81), Nicola Court (Foley ’83) and current SCOGA President, Anna Foley (’92).
Five of Stuart’s grandchildren also attended the school, Millie Perkins (’11), Lucy Court (’11), Eliza Court (’15), Claudia Perkins (’18) and Violetta Capanni (’26).
Stuart proudly served on School Council 1984 – 1994, during Miss Pizzey’s tenure as Principal and became a Trustee Member of the School Foundation in 2016.
The St Catherine’s School community extends their heartfelt condolences to all of the Foley family.

Building on our 2024 cross school collaboration with Dr Louise McCuaig at Matthew Flinders Anglican College and Dr Sarah Loch at Pymble Ladies' College, our team at St Catherine's School had the pleasure of running our first I-Wish (Inspiring Women in Science and Health) Conference last Friday as a fitting kick off to Science Week.
Thank you to Dr Sigrid Petautschnig (’13) for sharing her work and career journey with students. A special thanks to Professor Susie Nilsson (Begg ’86), who participated in an engaging panel discussion with Principal Natalie Charles on the important question of ethical leadership when leading scientific research. 💙💛
