As of today, April 14, 2026, it is the year 2083 BS (Bikram Sambat) in Nepal. Did you know Nepal follows the solar-based Bikram Sambat calendar, which is roughly 56–57 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar?
A new year is always a time of renewal, hope, and possibility. As the calendar ticks over, we remain committed to our mission - building safe schools and stronger futures for Nepal’s children and communities.

We’re excited to launch our new series, Notes from Nepal, where we give you all a glimpse into everyday life for children in Nepal. Through small stories and simple moments, we’ll be sharing what culture, tradition and childhood look like in Nepal, helping bring our classrooms a little closer to yours.
In our first edition, we’re starting with play. From traditional playground games to inventive fun made from whatever’s at hand, play is a universal language and an important part of learning and connection.

A big thank you to the Junior School community💙
Your fundraising this year will directly support two incredible Grade 8 students, Laxmi and Saroj, as they sit their BLE (Basic Level Examination) this week, a national exam in Nepal that marks the end of lower secondary school and plays a critical role in students’ future education pathways.
Laxmi and Saroj are both bright, hardworking students, and we are so proud of them as they take this important step. Your generosity is helping give them the support, stability and confidence they need to succeed. 🌏📚
