Thanks for the inspiration and the shoutout! I love a black & white photography challenge because it gives me a chance to show some of my favourite photos in a way that most closely matches how I see the world. People with rod-monochromatism, like me, don’t see any colour at all. So when I compose a photo I’m never concerned with colour, only shade, tone, light, shadow, texture, patterns and lines.

Impossible to put into words and just as elusive to try and photograph, the beauty of a fine longbow is something you need to hold in the hand and shoot to truly appreciate. That said, here’s my attempt at capturing the gorgeous lines and master craftsmanship of the Liberty Longbow Chief made by the late Allen Boice.
