Workshop details for our next series of workshops for 2025 held at PINES MEN'S SHED Frankston.

A 3 day induction workshop held at The Pines Men's shed fortnightly on the following Saturday (10am - 2pm)
Cost - $70 (includes 3 day workshop and insurance)
Day 1 - 5/9 Introduction to the Men's Shed, OH&S, tool safety and tool capabilities, potentially start of small project eg chopping board, bird box
Day 2 - 19/9 commence small project
Day 3 - 3/10 finish working on small project
Questions can be answered any time during this time as well as learning how different tools operate.

The last day of this series of workshops, was very successful at The Pines Men's Shed. Lots of different projects were completed, including a cat litter box (it's actually upside down in the photo), and plant stand, many different tealight candle holders and chopping boards, a plant pot display stand. Many ladies learning new skills, gaining confidence on the tools and machines and friendships were made. Thanks to Brian, Kevin, John and Andrew for mentoring the women's workshop this week.
We've said it before, we'll say it again, unfortunately all good things have to come to an end. Tomorrow is the ladies last day at The Pines Men's Shed. A huge thanks to all involved, our volunteers, Seana and Margaret, the ladies attending and everyone else who make these workshops a success.
We look forward to seeing the end results of the amazing projects.

A Reminder for this Saturday morning, 10.00am till midday. Along with hosting the Knox Repair Cafe, we will offer to fit Anti-Theft numberplate screws to your car's numberplate. This service will operate on the 4th Saturday of the month coinciding with the KRC sessions with the exception of long weekends. @ Rowville Men's Shed Police Rd Rowville (100 m east of Stud Rd).
We had 5 ladies at the workshop today; Amanda (& Stacey), Margaret, Liz, Melina and Christina. All showed lots of excitement as they made progress on their projects which included cutting boards, candle holders, a plant stand, a board game, a cat litter box cover and a spinning cockatoo for the garden. It's great to see the confidence growing as the ladies are learning to use tools and machinery such as the drop saw, band saw, thicknesser, table saw ans pedistal drill. Thanks to the Shed members who volunteered their time to mentor us; Brian, John, Paul and Kevin.

Day 2 of the 3 day workshop is continuing this Saturday at The Pines Men'sShed, 20th June. We heard Day 1 was quite eventful, we look forward to hearing and seeing how much progress is made towards learning and projects.
