🎃👻 HALLOWEEN FUN at Kids & Co! 👻🎃

What a spook-tacular day! Our amazing educators brought the Halloween magic alive with costumes, laughter, creativity and lots of smiles 🧡✨

From pumpkins to princesses, bananas to ketchup bottles (and everything in between!) — our team went all out to make the day extra special for our little learners 👑🍅🍌🌟

A big thank you to our wonderful educators for making Kids & Co such a warm, joyful and exciting place to be every single day. We are so lucky to have you! 🤗💛

🕒 Tick Tock, Let’s Tell the Time! ⏰

This week our curious little learners dove into the wonderful world of clocks! ⏳✨

We explored how the hands of the clock move and learned that when the big hand points to 12, it means it's “o’clock” time. Together, we practiced telling the time—1 o’clock, 2 o’clock, and more!
The children loved taking turns with our toy clock, moving the hands to show different times and sharing what they discovered.

A fun and hands-on way to build early numeracy and time-telling skills! 🧠💡

🌳 T is for Tree! 🌳

To explore the letter T, we got creative with a fun and hands-on activity, T is for Tree!

Our teacher drew a big tree trunk on paper, and the children used green paint and their hands to create leafy branches using handprints. 🍃 There were giggles, teamwork, and lots of excitement as they brought the tree to life!

Along the way, we talked about words that start with T and practised the letter sound, all while building fine motor skills and encouraging creativity.

We love turning letters into learning adventures, and today’s tree was a big success! 💚🌱

⭐️🔺 Jumping Through Shapes! 🔵❤️

Today, our outdoor space turned into a giant shape game filled with colour, fun, and lots of jumping! Using bright chalk, we drew big shapes like circles, squares, triangles, hearts, and stars all over the ground. 🎨🟡

The challenge? Pick a shape path from the board (like circle–square–star), say the names out loud, and jump your way through it! The children were so excited, choosing their paths and jumping from shape to shape with big smiles and loads of energy 💥

Not only was it fun, but we also practiced naming shapes, remembering patterns, and using our super-strong legs! 💪 It was a great way to learn and move at the same time.

🌿 Little Green Thumbs at Work! 🌿

Today, our young gardeners rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty in our native garden bed! Together with their educator, they tidied up the space and planted new native flora, sparking curiosity and excitement.

The children asked thoughtful questions like, "What does 'native' mean?" and "Why are there worms in our garden?" These inquiries led to engaging discussions about Australia's unique plant life and the vital role worms play in keeping our soil healthy.

By clearing dry leaves and carefully watering the plants, the children are learning the importance of sustainability and how to care for our environment. It's inspiring to see their growing connection to nature and understanding of where our food comes from.

📚✏️ Exploring the Letter ‘E’! ✏️📚

Our 4-year-old kinder children are currently learning all about the letter E! Through hands-on activities, they are practicing how to write ‘e’ and engaging in discussions about words that begin with this exciting letter—like elephant, egg, and engine! 🥚🚂🐘

At Kids & Co., our curriculum is designed to foster early literacy skills, preparing children for a smooth transition to school. By engaging in letter recognition, writing practice, and meaningful conversations, children develop the foundational skills needed for reading, writing, and confident communication.

Learning should always be fun, and these little learners are embracing every moment! 💡✨

🍽️ Little Chefs at Work! 🍽️
Our little learners have been busy running their own restaurant today! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 From taking orders to preparing delicious pretend meals, their imaginations (and teamwork skills!) were in full swing.

Through role-playing, children develop:
🌟 Communication & Social Skills – Taking turns, negotiating roles, and chatting with friends.
🧠 Early Literacy & Numeracy – Reading the menu, recognizing food items, and counting ingredients.
👐 Fine Motor Skills – Scooping, pouring, and serving their creations with care.
Every meal may be pretend, but the learning is very real! 🍞🥐☕ Who’s up for a play café visit?

💖 Celebrating Love and Creativity! 🎨✨

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day last Friday! 💕 Our little artists had a fantastic time creating heartfelt masterpieces for their loved ones, filling our spaces with joy, creativity, and lots of love.

From tiny handprints to colorful cards, each artwork was made with care, reminding us that the simplest gestures can mean the most. ❤️

Our curious toddlers have been learning all about recycling and how they can help take care of our planet! 🌍We watched the fun and engaging video ‘Recycling for Kids’ and then got hands-on with a sorting activity—practicing how to recycle all by themselves! ♻️

It was wonderful to see them so excited about making a difference. Every little action counts!"

Kinder has officially begun, and our little learners are already exploring, experimenting, and discovering new things!

Today, they tapped glass jars filled with different amounts of water, listening to how the sound and pitch changed. Through hands-on play, they explored cause and effect, developed fine motor skills, and even created their own music! We can’t wait for all the exciting learning adventures ahead this year!
