luding Michelle Nicolle (Melbourne Conservatorium of Music), Linda Barcan (Victorian College of the Arts), Darren Wicks (Monash University), and Alana K — Melbourne’s foremost coach in extreme and contemporary vocals. Amy’s stylistic fluency includes pop, rock, musical theatre, jazz, and metal, and she has recorded vocals for the progressive metal band Ne Obliviscaris. Alongside her musical credentials, Amy holds degrees in psychology and criminology and has spent many years working in roles supporting the emotional and developmental needs of children and adolescents. She has delivered wellbeing and behaviour programs in primary schools, worked one-on-one and in small groups with children facing social, behavioural, or emotional challenges, and supported young people across educational, therapeutic, and community contexts. Her work has involved counselling-informed approaches, trauma-aware practice, and early intervention with vulnerable and at-risk youth. Amy has also facilitated resilience and confidence-building programs for tween and teen girls, including Shine From Within, and completed additional training through Forensicare in areas such as personality disorders, youth at risk of violence, and working therapeutically with young people affected by complex behaviours. Known for her emotionally intelligent and relational approach, Amy blends technical vocal skill with deep psychological insight, helping students and fellow educators connect more meaningfully to voice, identity, and self-expression. She is especially passionate about inclusive, student-centred learning and creating spaces where artistic and personal growth go hand in hand.
