1 A sharp knife requires less pressure to cut through food, which means you have better control over the knife and are less likely to slip and cut yourself
2A heavier knife means you have to use less force when cutting.
3.If you do happen to nick yourself, you have less force on the knife so therefore its more likely to be a minimal cut or scratch. If you’re using a lighter blunt knife you are more likely to have a deeper jaggered injury. ( I have learnt from experience).

Techniques and knowledge like this is what creates confident intuitive cooks. Cook for your Club and Teens in the Kitchen workshops are designed not just to teach how to read a recipe but to understand both the preparation and cooking process. These insights can be used over and over again for the rest of their lives.
These workshops take place remotely in their own kitchen using an ipad/tablet or laptop. While learning to cook an Ol school fave they will be picking up essential life skills promoting independence and creativity in the kitchen.
How good would it be to have the teens or young adults in your household to have dinner cooked when you get home, or to be able to cook up food for when their mates come over?
