🌸✨ A High Tea to Remember! ✨🌸

What a beautiful afternoon shared with our Region 6 Service Managers! 🥰💐

A very special thank you to our amazing Business Operations Manager, Mel, for treating us to the most beautiful high tea at Mary Eats Cake. 🫖🧁🌸 What a fabulous time we shared together — taking a moment to reflect on our service highlights, celebrate everything we have achieved, chat about the exciting events coming up, and simply enjoy each other’s company. 💞

Our theme for the afternoon was a pop of floral 🌸🌷 and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the gorgeous setting and scrumptious high tea to all the beautiful little details, it was such a special experience. A huge thank you to Janene from Mooroolbark for adding the sweetest personal touch to our afternoon and gifting each Service Manager a gorgeous LEGO Flower Kit! 🥹🌸💐 What an adorable way to continue our floral theme — and something we can take home and enjoy long after our high tea! 🥰

And then came more surprises… the most beautiful candle sets and bags! 🥹🥰🎁 Mel, WOW! Your thoughtfulness and generosity truly mean so much to us.

I can absolutely speak on behalf of all of the Region 6 Service Managers when I say: thank you, Mel. 💞 We appreciate you more than words can express and feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a supportive, passionate and connected team.

There is something truly special about being a Service Manager at Story House Early Learning — and afternoons like this remind us just how lucky we are to share the journey together. 🌸🫖💐🥰

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who give so much of their hearts to our children and families every single day. 🥹❤️

The love, safety, security, warmth and learning you create is truly next to none. Every cuddle, every smile, every little moment of encouragement and every opportunity you provide helps shape the lives of the children in our care. 🦋🌈🌱

📚✨ What a magical Book Week we have had at Story House Early Learning Lynbrook! ✨📚

Our centre has been filled with imagination, creativity, laughter and so much storybook magic! 💫

We have loved seeing our little book lovers bring their favourite characters to life throughout the week, with wonderful costumes, storytelling, music, art, imaginative play and, of course, plenty of smiles! 📖❤️

One of the biggest highlights was coming together as a whole centre for our very own Book Week Parade! 🎉📚

Our children and educators proudly showed off their amazing costumes as we celebrated together, creating such a special atmosphere filled with excitement, joy and lots of Book Week spirit! 🌈✨

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for helping make this week so memorable. The effort, creativity and excitement you shared with us was truly beautiful to see. 🥰

🌿🐛 Where Curiosity Meets Nature: A Morning of Wonder, Discovery & Learning! 🦋

A very special thank you to Professor Karen Malone; Professor of Education, Environmental Philosophy, Posthumanism and Childhood Studies — for joining us this morning for our very own Kindergarten Nature Play Adventure at Banjo Patterson Lake Park! 💚

From all of us at Story House Early Learning Lynbrook, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Karen and Snehar for the incredible thought, care and preparation that went into creating such rich opportunities for our children and educators to engage, explore and learn together.

Karen’s philosophy reminds us that nature play is not simply about learning facts about the natural world, it is about experiencing it. It is about giving children the time, space and freedom to notice, question, investigate, wonder and respond to what is right in front of them. 🌿✨

And today, we saw that philosophy come to life.

Our children and educators were active participants and leaders of their own learning, following their curiosity and drawing on their prior knowledge of bugs, insects, habitats, nature and life cycles. They asked questions, shared theories, investigated what they discovered and resourced their own play and learning experiences. 🐜🦋🐞

Through drawing, painting, moulding, creating, observing, discussing and experimenting, the children naturally explored Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) — all while being immersed in the wonder of the outdoors.

What made today particularly powerful was the way Karen encouraged us to step back, observe and trust children as capable researchers and thinkers. Rather than directing the learning, our educators supported the children to take the lead - following their questions and allowing spontaneous discoveries to shape where the experience went next. 🌏

The learning opportunities extended far beyond the morning itself. Our educators gained valuable insight into how we can continue to create environments where children can develop deeper connections with place, nature and one another, while building on their existing knowledge and experiences.

💚 Thank you, Karen, for sharing your knowledge, passion and wisdom with us.

Thank you for reminding us that sometimes the most meaningful learning happens when we simply give children the opportunity to slow down, look closely, ask questions and experience the world around them.

And to our incredible children — thank you for leading the way with your curiosity, imagination and endless questions! 🌱🔎🦋

📚✨ The Magic of Stories Is Coming to Life! ✨📚

Our Book Week project is well underway, and our little readers have been busy creating, imagining, painting and bringing their favourite stories to life! 🎨📖💫

From colourful storyboards and handmade books to magical characters, rainbows, unicorns and lots of wonderful storytelling, our children have been exploring just how special the world of books can be. 🌈🦄🐠

We can’t wait to see their faces light up as they dress up as their favourite book characters next week and dive even deeper into the magic of Book Week! 🥰📚✨

A Beautiful Family Reflection ❤️

There are moments that remind us just how special it is to be part of a child’s early learning journey, and this beautiful feedback from one of our Story House Early Learning families is one of them. 🥰

We are incredibly grateful to this family for taking the time to share their experience and for trusting our team to support their child through such an important transition into day care.
Their kind words about our educators, and the care, patience, reassurance and communication they provide, mean more than we can say. It is especially heartwarming to hear that their little one has settled so beautifully and genuinely loves coming to the Centre. 💕

🌿✨ A beautiful day of nature, connection & discovery! ✨🌿

What an incredible adventure we had on our weekly nature play trip! 🌳💚

Today was all about connecting with nature through our senses — feeling the textures of leaves, sticks, bark and earth beneath our hands and feet, embracing the joy of barefoot play and allowing our little explorers to truly immerse themselves in the natural world. 🦶🌱

Our children explored nature weaving, carefully threading leaves, grasses and natural materials through sticks to create their own beautiful creations. 🧶🍃 They also worked together to collect sticks, leaves and other treasures to build their very own pretend campfires, before enjoying lots of imaginative play as they roasted their pretend marshmallows! 🔥🤍

There is so much value in simply slowing down, getting our hands dirty and feeling nature beneath our fingertips and bare feet. Touch, movement and sensory exploration help children build a deeper connection with their environment while encouraging curiosity, creativity, confidence and a sense of wonder. 🌏✨

Bare feet, busy hands, curious minds and happy hearts — this is the magic of nature play! 🌿🦶💚

🎶👶 Boogying Babies! 🥰💃

Nothing beats a little music, movement and lots of giggles! 🎵💕

Our little ones had the sweetest time exploring sounds, shaking their instruments and dancing along to the music. Watching those happy faces light up as they discover the joy of making music is simply priceless! 🥹✨
