A little glimpse into today’s chaos… 👀
- Sports bags for Grades 5 & 6s. I trialled a borrowing system, and it wasn’t too bad, but it encouraged students coming into the gym at unnecessary times. So back to the future. Bags for each class.
- Progressing in our Territory games unit. Today saw offensive tactics come into play in ‘End Ball’
- Thelma returned for a Foundation throwing circuit
- ‘Angry Birds’ to finish off the day with Year 3
Week Two of Throwing - Thelma + Castles/Knock ‘em Down
A big tip when doing throwing activities is to ensure that the students are a generous distance away from the Target so that they have to throw for distance in order to use the appropriate throwing technique.
Inspired by reading groups in the classroom, students love finding out their teams, and it makes PE lessons so much easier when doing small-sided FMS games, or tabloid-type sessions 👌🏽

Little glimpse in to today 👀
- Equipment sorted for a mixture of a day. Yoshi with Grade 5s, Throwing Circuit with Foundation, Throwing Game with Grade 3s
- Prep for a CRT to carry out a lesson tomorrow that follows the planner. Easily done thanks to
- Getting things sorted for District Cross Country

‘Little bit of this, little bit of that’ today. 👉🏼
🔋 Finally sorted my electronic whistles out with some new batteries.
📔 Did some admin with a coffee in hand.
🧹 Gave the storeroom a bit of a tidy up
🚮 Put together a new ‘pack up pals’ idea (…yet to trial)
⚾️ Practised some FMS (Overarm Throw) and introduced Year 4s to ‘Yoshi’
Shock to the system on Monday. Back to it after a two week break.

Foundation circuit (AKA. Circus if you ask a Foundation students 🎪)
- Two minutes at each activity
- Music begins to let the students know that it’s GO time
- Music stops; an indication it’s time to pack up and line up behind the numbered cone
- Students move to the next activity when instructed and continue
Always a winner 🏆
The power of a cone colour cannot be understated. Have students walking in from last year knowing which foot to use right from the get-go thanks to the cone prompts.
