Last week, our Kinder children have been exploring the meaning of Reconciliation Week and what it means to come together with kindness, respect, and understanding.

Using wooden figures to represent people in a community, the children shared thoughtful ideas such as, "We are all friends," "Everyone is different," and "We can play together."

Through this experience, children explored belonging, connection, inclusion, and the importance of respecting one another.

By learning these values from an early age, children are building the foundations for a more inclusive and respectful future.

Our 3-Year-Old Kinder Room and 4-Year-Old Kinder Room will be hosting Kinder Information Sessions on Friday 29th May.

There will be two sessions available:

💙 9:30am – 11:00am 💙

💙 3:00pm – 4:30pm 💙

During the sessions, you will have the opportunity to:

⭐Explore our kinder learning environments

⭐Learn more about the programs we provide for children

⭐Ask questions about kindergarten enrolments and funding options

It will be a wonderful day celebrating the learning happening across our kinder rooms, and we look forward to seeing you there.

💛 Working Together for Safety & Quality Care 💛

Our team recently came together for a reunion last Thursday. It was a valuable opportunity to reconnect, reflect on our practice, and strengthen the way we work together to support your children. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment, we are continuing to refine our supervision practices and strengthen communication and teamwork across the service, ensuring all children are well supported throughout the day.

Our 3-Year-Old Kinder Room and 4-Year-Old Kinder Room will be hosting Kinder Information Sessions on Friday 29th May.

Road Safety Learning Across the Centre

From our toddlers to Kinder children, everyone enjoyed hands-on learning experiences about road safety today.

Through play, discussions, and interactive activities, children explored important concepts such as traffic lights, crossing safely, and staying aware near roads.

Learning through fun and meaningful experiences helps children build confidence and awareness in everyday life.

Exploring Early Literacy & Numeracy

Our Kinder children recently engaged in a literacy assessment experience through shared floor book discussions in the home corner.

The children were invited to talk about their favourite foods, draw their ideas, and think about how much they could “sell” them for.

Through these conversations and creative experiences, educators gathered insights into children’s literacy, communication, and early numeracy skills.

It was wonderful to see the children confidently sharing their ideas, expressing themselves, and engaging in meaningful discussions together.

Bug investigations continue in kinder room!

During group time, the children explored different bugs and insects, learning about their body parts, where they live, how they move, breathe, and use their senses. They excitedly shared their favourite insects and used movement and imaginative play to act them out together.

Our learning will continue over the coming weeks as we create a bug hotel and explore the natural world through hands-on experiences, observation, and discovery.

Open-ended art experiences allow children to explore, create, imagine, and express themselves freely.

Watching their creativity come to life through colours, textures, and movement… this feels like a really Goodstart.
