During the week our room 1 educators created a green-themed sensory tray inspired by Where Is the Green Sheep?, searching for the hidden sheep while exploring different textures and materials.

Book Week – Dear Zoo

Our older babies enjoyed a special group time reading Dear Zoo, exploring the animals and joining in with the familiar story. We then extended the experience with a hands-on sensory play setup inspired by the book.

This experience supported language and communication, sensory exploration, fine motor skills, imagination and early literacy, while encouraging the children to connect stories with meaningful play.
