Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Tarneit Square

Following on from our World Ocean Day learning last week, our nursery rooms continued to explore ocean-themed experiences through sensory play. They enjoyed investigating a blue cornflour and water mixture with sea animal figures, using their senses to touch, feel, and discover different textures. The babies showed great curiosity and engagement as they explored the sensory materials and ocean animals through play. 🌊🐠💙

❤️ Our 4-Year-Old Kinder children enjoyed a wonderful nature-based art experience, creating pictures of their families and loved ones using natural resources. Through this creative activity, the children used their imagination, explored different textures and materials, and expressed their ideas in unique ways.

Experiences like these help foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and a sense of belonging as children reflect on the important people in their lives.

🦕🦴 Our toddlers had a fantastic time exploring dinosaur fossils! Using paintbrushes like real Paleontologists, they carefully investigated and searched for hidden fossils. The children were excited and engaged throughout the experience, proudly showing their discoveries to educators and celebrating their achievements. This hands-on activity encouraged curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning through play. 🌟

At Tarneit Square, children are encouraged to make choices about their learning and play. Educators thoughtfully provide experiences based on children's interests and use these opportunities to extend their learning through meaningful interactions and intentional teaching. By selecting activities that interest them, children develop confidence, independence, decision-making skills, and a love of learning. We value children's voices and support them to be active participants in their learning journey.

Today at Tarneit Square, the children enjoyed a variety of engaging experiences in each room. They explored sensory play activities, used their creativity to make keyboards from cardboard, and created beautiful artwork using natural materials and paper.

It was wonderful to see their imagination, curiosity, and creativity shine through as they explored, built, and expressed themselves in different ways

🌊🐠 World Ocean Day 🐠🌊

At Tarneit Square, educators arranged engaging activities for the children to celebrate World Ocean Day. The children explored “What is the ocean?” and “What animals live in the ocean?” through group discussions, where they shared ideas such as dolphins, sharks, and fish.

We then watched a short video “Under the Sea” by Kids Academy to learn about ocean layers and sea creatures.

Children enjoyed sensory play with cloud playdough, creating “sea homes” for ocean animals, followed by a hands-on activity where they used tongs to clean the ocean by removing rubbish, learning about caring for marine life and keeping our oceans clean. 🌎💙

Our centre will be closed today for the King's Birthday public holiday.

🌏 World Environment Day at Tarneit Square Early Learning Centre 🌱

Today, the children participated in a variety of hands-on experiences to learn about caring for our environment. They enjoyed planting and looking after plants, explored the importance of recycling, and engaged in discussions about a "Happy Earth" and a "Sad Earth." Through these meaningful activities, the children developed an understanding of how their actions can help protect and care for our planet.
Together, we are nurturing future environmental champions! 💚🌏
