While Mrs Zorko is away, our students have been busy making a difference around the school!

We're excited to share that our fruit cup and cupcake sales were a huge success, with students eagerly supporting the initiative. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our school community, we've raised valuable funds that will go towards future projects and improvements for our students.

A big thank you to everyone who purchased a fruit cup or cupcake, and to the students who helped organise and run the sales.

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar, honouring the faith, compassion and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). It is a time of prayer, reflection, generosity and coming together with family and community.

May this special occasion bring happiness, kindness and blessings to all. Eid Mubarak! 🤍

This week, we proudly recognise National Reconciliation Week 2026 and this year’s theme, *All In*. ❤️💛🖤

“All In” is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day — through learning, listening, respect and action. At Springside Primary School, we continue to work together to build understanding, strengthen relationships and celebrate the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Together, we are all in.

The grade 1’s went to visit the Sealife Aquarium today. We got to see so many amazing animals, learning their names, and all about their habitats, food and other interesting facts. By the end, we were happy and (some more than others) exhausted!🐟🐡🦈🐙🪸🪼

☕💛 What an incredible community effort! Yesterday we proudly hosted the Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council and have already raised over $480 for this important cause!

Our staff also brought the fun with a cupcake baking & decorating competition, showcasing some very creative (and delicious!) entries 🧁👏

A huge thank you to all of our families, students and staff for your generosity and support. Special shoutout to for their delicious donation that helped make the morning extra special 🍩💙

There’s still time to donate! We also encourage students to come dressed in blue and yellow on Thursday 28th May to continue showing support for those impacted by cancer. Together, we can make a difference 💛💙

🏑 Last Friday, our Grade 6 ISS Hockey team had an amazing day on the field! While we didn’t make the finals, we definitely won in teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. 💙💪

The team gave it their all, cheered each other on and represented our school with pride against some fantastic schools from across the area. Well done to all our players for their effort, determination and positive attitude throughout the day! 👏✨
