Outdoor playing experiences : Balance beams encourage the children to build their core strength and to learn how to balance their bodies in response to level and direction changes.

Children transfer and adapt what they have learned from one context to another :
The children make connections between their playing experiences of constructing the square bridge on the motor bike track with colourful magnets ,develops their concepts of colours & square shape and also created their learning process more fun by scribbling ,folding and pasting their hand made cube .
The children also transfer their knowledge of colours , shape and relevant sorting of shape .i.e .from the setting of bridge to the same shaped cube for tossing play .

The children resource their own learning through connecting with people ,place and the natural resources :
In the morning,the children were super excited to water our strawberry plant .while watering their favourite plant ,they discovered the red strawberry and few of the green unripe ones.They picked and tasted strawberries from our garden .
Afterwards while transition to indoor playing experience,the children chose the dramatic playing experience of shop with cash register and they confidently made the connection of food like carrots ,corns ,kiwi and strawberries to their shopping experience .
Later on ,they added other groceries items into their list too……….

Children express themselves through art:
Today ,the children got impressed with the setting of Elf at the Art corner .They shown their creativity by engaging in Christmas decorations ,which is a great activity for developing their fine motor skills i.e.skills they need to control their fingers to manipulate objects. Every time they pick up, move or place small objects like glitter or googly eyes they'll be developing their finger muscles and control.
Thanks to our Art Elf for the big encouragement and role modelling through out the day !

Inquiry Based Learning : Balancing / Stacking with variety of playing resources - children ‘s initiative
The children construct their own knowledge through experimenting and exploring the pebbles from the garden.They collected the pebbles and placed next to the stacking activity to see or experiment with the pebbles .
This Inquiry-based learning enabled the children to discover their knowledge on balancing while using fine motor skills ,cognitive skills and increasing their attention span and develops reasoning skills too .

Science Experiment: Giant Ice Balloon
The children filled the coloured water in balloon, prior to the day of experiment.
On the experiment day, they were very excited and curious to watch how the salted water pop the green balloon and a giant ice ball appeared out of the popped balloon.
