I came across this vocal and it felt perfect for those out there that have a tender heart right now.
Grief is not just about death. It’s also about the death of a relationship. For those maybe feeling a little “not good enough” or feeling plain lonely and lost. Thinking that falling in love again might fix it all…. It’s ok to feel these things. It’s really all about wanting to find human connection. But there’s also something so magical about getting to a place where you don’t feel lonely in your own company. . You don’t feel like you’re missing out on something. Knowing that YOU are enough. That what you are doing in the moment is what makes you happy.
It’s been a long journey of deprogramming my inner thoughts. But I am now in a place where I actually like being on my own. A lot. Thankyou to .wanderingpaddy 🎤 for these words and vocal. 🖤

Grieving who you were and always being aware of the before and after is one of the hardest parts. You will never be that same you again. Never. And you need to grieve that too.
🖤
Listen closely to your intuition. It knows the truth. It will lead you in the right direction. It will keep you safe from harm. It will tell you when things are not right and when you are being betrayed. It will tell you which way to go. Listen hard. Listen well. Listen.

After my mum died I experienced for the first time a feeling of just not giving a fuc* anymore. I lost all sense of caring. I didn’t care for small talk. I didn’t care for cooking or cleaning or any of the tasks I needed to do. I didn’t care about my relationship as I watched it crumble under the weight of me needing real support for the first time and my husband not being able to provide that safety for me. I didn’t care for those friends who didn’t have the capacity to hold me. I didn’t care about work or money and I lost all ambition and drive. I was lost, unmotivated and exhausted. And I thought I would never feel joy again…..but I did.
So I guess I just wanted to say to those of you currently in this state, it’s ok. It’s ok to hate the world for a while. It’s ok to be irritated by others who just don’t get it. It’s ok to feel jealous at times that others have what you don’t. It’s ok to isolate yourself because you feel there’s no point in sharing your pain….
You will come back into being. You will slowly reemerge into a new you. You will never return to the old you. But the new you will be smarter, braver, fiercer, kinder and you will know how to hold space for others going through it. So don’t give a fu*k until you do again. There’s no timeline and there’s no hurry to get back to “normal programming”. Because you are not the same. Normal doesn’t exist anymore. And that person you once were died with them. Take your time….there is no finish line.
This is a reminder to myself as much as you. Go to the silence. Go to yourself.

Nobody really knows how someone is feeling on the inside. Grief doesn’t show up with a neon sign telling others how much pain you are in. Sometimes we can’t even find the words to explain the pain. When people ask “How are you?” and you don’t know how to answer. When you want to say “no Thankyou” but know that social contact is probably exactly what your brain needs. When you want to climb under a blanket and stay there permanently. When you can’t breathe properly because the shock of your new reality is sitting there staring you in the face.
Grief has a way of circling back. It is all of our love and pain wrapped up into a feeling you can’t fully explain.
And that is ok. You don’t need to explain it. You just need to keep breathing through it all and keep believing that you won’t feel this way forever. We are ever changing.
