The art of writing is a complex skill to acquire. It requires constant guidance, modelling and practice. It also requires the student's ability to compose and express ideas in an organised manner. The planning process plays a very significant role in assisting students synthesise their ideas. Through our guidance, our year 4 student's writing skills have enhanced greatly! At Acquire Academy, we are BIG on evidence based research, therefore incorporating evidence based programs into our sessions. So what does the reserach say? Research in Literacy education identifies a lack of phonological awareness to be a contributing factor in the declining literacy skills across Australia. As such, our programs have a strong focus on phonological awareness to help your child enhance in their spelling, reading and writing.
