I saw this and immediately knew I had to share it with you all, because this is not something you expect to see in Aotearoa. We usually think of New Zealand as this gorgeous, pristine landscape, right? Not exactly the setting for a backwoods horror movie.

So, here's the story: A woman recently bought a very old, deeply isolated property up in Whangārei. She was out surveying the overgrown bushland on her new land, probably expecting to find some native ferns or birds. Instead? She stumbled upon hundreds of mutilated, dismembered, and tortured dolls discarded deep in the woods.

I’m not just talking about old toys left to rot. I mean heavy metal screws driven into their heads, knives plunged into their bodies, limbs bound with wire, and chains hanging from the trees.

And to make things even more chilling? The news of this bizarre discovery dropped exactly on Friday the 13th. Coincidence? Or a dark synchronicity? 🕸️🌑

I’m so curious what you guys think about this. What are we looking at here, Cryptid Women? Are these the remnants of a local cult? Some kind of dark magic ritual? A protective ward gone horribly wrong, or is something much more sinister brewing in the shadows of the forest?

Strange creatures were found in and around the 1500’s
This was said to roam in Patagonia… you’re right.., alongside the giants that were there!!

The succarath was first described in the 15th century. This strange creature was said to reside in the Patagonia region of South America, usually near riverbanks. By all reports, the succarath was"cruel, untamable, violent, ravening, and bloudy”. Authors of the time also made sure to stress the love and devotion it had toward its young, taking them to fields of flowers to play. Art of the time depicts the succarath as having its young on its back, leading many researchers to connect them to giant ground sloths.
