BOOK WEEK 2026 AT FUNTASTIC KIDZ! ✨📚

What a wonderful week of stories, imagination and creativity! Throughout Book Week, our children came dressed as their favourite storybook characters and enjoyed seeing their educators join in the fun with some amazing costumes too! 🐑🦆🦋👑

Across the rooms, children explored a variety of favourite books through interactive storytelling, dramatic play, character dress-ups, group discussions and creative learning experiences. Educators brought stories to life with special book-inspired environments and props, encouraging children to participate, communicate, use their imagination and develop their love of books. 📖💫

It was beautiful to see the excitement as children recognised familiar characters, shared their favourite stories with friends and proudly showed off their costumes. Book Week gave us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate literacy, language, creativity and the joy of reading together. ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing educators and families for making Book Week so colourful, memorable and full of fun!

National Science Week Wrap-Up at Funtastic Kidz! ✨🔬

What an incredible week of wonder, discovery and hands-on learning! 🧲⚡

Throughout Science Week, our little scientists explored a wonderful variety of experiments and experiences. From colour-changing reactions, mixing and bubbling experiments, magnets and electricity, light and colour exploration, floating and sinking, measuring, pouring and observing chemical reactions, every day brought something new to investigate.

The children were filled with excitement as they predicted what might happen, tested their ideas, observed changes, asked questions and discovered the wonderful world of science through play. We loved seeing the big smiles, surprised faces and those special “WOW!” moments when something unexpected happened! 🤩

More importantly, these experiences supported children to develop curiosity, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, communication, concentration and confidence. They learned that experimenting isn’t only about finding an answer, it is about wondering, exploring, trying and discovering. 💡

A huge thank you to our amazing educators for creating such engaging and meaningful experiences and encouraging our children to become confident, curious little learners. ❤️

As we wrap up Science Week, one thing is certain the children’s curiosity certainly isn’t ending here! 🌟

🔬✨ SCIENCE WEEK – DAY 2! ✨🔬

Another exciting day of discovery at Funtastic Kidz! Our little scientists enjoyed hands-on experiences including making snow ❄️, the Walking Water experiment 🌈💧, penguin water exploration 🐧, and our fascinating Atomic Light Show ⚡🔮.

Through experimenting, observing and asking questions, the children explored colour, water movement, textures, light, energy and cause and effect while having lots of fun! 🧪💡

🔬🌟 SCIENCE WEEK – DAY 1! 🌟🔬

What an exciting start to Science Week at Funtastic Kidz Early Learning Centre! Today our little scientists were busy exploring, experimenting, predicting and discovering through a wonderful range of hands-on experiences. 🧪✨

Our children explored the magic of colourful fizzing baking soda and vinegar, watching closely as the ingredients reacted, bubbled and fizzed. 🌈🫧 We also investigated the fascinating Walking Water Experiment, observing coloured water travel from one cup to another through paper towels and discovering how water can move in surprising ways.

Our younger scientists enjoyed a fun Sink or Float investigation, placing different objects into water, making predictions and watching carefully to see which objects floated and which sank. 💧🥒🍎 This simple experience encouraged curiosity, observation and early scientific thinking.

Outdoors, the excitement continued with our Balloon Science Experiment! 🎈🧪 Children gathered together to observe how a reaction between baking soda and vinegar could create gas and inflate a balloon. There were plenty of curious faces as everyone waited to see what would happen!

Throughout the day, educators encouraged children to wonder, ask questions, make predictions, observe changes and talk about what they discovered. These experiences supported early concepts of cause and effect, chemical reactions, capillary action, floating and sinking, problem-solving and investigation, all through play.

Science Week is about showing our children that science is everywhere and that learning begins with a simple question:

“What do you think will happen?” 💭🔍

🦷 DENTAL HEALTH WEEK AT FUNTASTIC KIDZ! ✨🪥

What a wonderful week of learning, exploring and creating! 💙

Throughout Dental Health Week, our children participated in a variety of fun, hands-on experiences designed to build an understanding of healthy teeth and healthy habits.

From brushing giant teeth and practising flossing, to creating playdough mouths, exploring dental sensory activities and sorting healthy and unhealthy foods, our little learners discovered how everyday choices can help keep their smiles strong and bright. 🍎🥕🦷

Through play, conversations and group experiences, children learned about:
🪥 Brushing our teeth every day
🧵 The importance of flossing
🍓 Choosing tooth-friendly foods
🍭 Understanding how too much sugar can affect our teeth
😁 Looking after our beautiful smiles

We loved seeing the children so curious, engaged and excited to share what they learned.

German Cultural Incursion at Funtastic Kidz 🇩🇪

At Funtastic Kidz Early Learning Centre, we love celebrating the many cultures that make our community so special. 🌏

Our children enjoyed a wonderful German Cultural Incursion, where they explored Germany’s traditions, language, food, famous places, stories, and culture through engaging, hands-on experiences.

A special thank you to Michela and one of our parent Jessica for proudly sharing her cultural heritage and creating such a meaningful learning experience for our children.

Rain in a Jar – Exploring the Science of Weather! ☁️🌧️

What a wonderful day of discovery and hands-on learning at Funtastic Kidz Early Learning Centre! 💙

Our little scientists explored how rain is formed through a fun and engaging “Rain in a Jar” experiment. We filled a clear jar with water, added a layer of shaving foam to represent clouds, and carefully dropped coloured water onto the foam. As the “cloud” became full, the coloured water slowly fell through into the jar just like raindrops falling from the sky! 🌦️💧

The children watched with excitement and curiosity as they discovered that clouds can only hold so much water before the rain begins to fall. This simple yet meaningful experience encouraged children to ask questions, make predictions, observe changes, and develop an understanding of the natural weather cycle through hands-on exploration.

At Funtastic Kidz, we believe the best learning happens when children are encouraged to explore, wonder, investigate, and learn through play. 🌈🔬

💙🧸 Pyjama Day at Funtastic Kidz ELC 🧸💙

What an unforgettable day filled with smiles, laughter and community spirit! 💕

Our children arrived in their cosy pyjamas with their favourite teddy bears, ready for a fun-filled day. They enjoyed a special movie experience with popcorn 🍿, relaxed with their friends, and took part in exciting activities planned throughout the centre.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families and educators who joined us for our morning tea and generously donated to support children in foster care. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in the lives of many children. ❤️

We are so proud of our amazing Funtastic Kidz community for coming together to spread warmth, kindness and joy.
