"Ideas or sparks actually emerge from the empty spaces within your mind - from the gaps between your thoughts." Shunmyo Masuno

One of my favourite tools for creative writing is mindfulness and meditation. When our minds are busy and overwhelmed, there is no space for creativity. Trying to chase ideas is like looking at stars: the harder you stare, the more elusive they become. When kids practice mindfulness and mediation, we provide them with the space to let creative seeds grow.

All of my two hour workshops include mindfulness and meditation practice as a way to still the mind and dive into the creative realm. It is magical to witness the shift in energy that occurs within the room following a mindfulness practice and the creative flow which follows.

Bookings are now open for these holidays and a full outline of my winter timetable is available on the website: www.writetimeworkshops.com.au

I know you shouldn’t have favourites, but this workshop holds a very special place in my heart.

Unlock Your Creativity was the idea that started it all and was designed with much love to foster critical and divergent thinking and help students unlock the creativity potential within.

This workshop combines group discussion, brainstorming, drawing, crafting, free writing and meditation to tap into the creative part of the brain. Students can expect the unexpected as we journey into intergalactic worlds, get silly with new words and relax with mindfulness techniques to help create space for new ideas to take seed.

Unlock Your Creativity is running these school holidays, Monday July 4th from 10am -12pm. $40 per workshop, includes creative writing journal and morning tea.
