We’re SO excited to announce more details for the 2026 Ishinryu Super Seminar!
This year we’ll be welcoming THREE special guest instructors for an action-packed weekend of training, learning, and networking with fellow karateka.

The full timetable is still to come — but expect another huge weekend packed with seminars, training sessions, and great experiences both on and off the mats.

The Gathering over the weekend was amazing! Watching, helping, and teaching Ishinryu students, and seeing the level of the student's progress since last year was a privilege 🥋❤️

A fantastic, much anticipated, special visit from Sensei Bruce Hyland last night. Ishinryu Somerville students were treated to a 2hr class conducted by Sensei which included his new Shiai Jump Drill!
Can't wait to see what skills ans knowledge he has to share at the Gathering on the weekend.

Brains trust contemplating life yesterday in our last catch up. Looking forward to 2026! Last newsletter for the year has just been emailed. Merry Christmas everyone, stay safe 🙏

Congratulations to all Ishinryu students who attended the last grading for the year to achieve their next belt in their Ishinryu journey.

Special mention to the Somerville students who participated in their first grading! It can be a bit daunting going into a room full of assessors and new people, but not only is it a good experience for the rest of your karate journey, it is an ability that will be useful in your everyday life too!

Last adult's and teen's class tonight, and then we are finished for the Christmas break.
