Science in Action: Colour-Changing Mushrooms!
Today our little scientists took part in a fun and fascinating experiment to see how mushrooms can “drink” coloured water — just like flowers do! The children carefully poured water into small cups, added different food colours, and then placed white mushrooms inside. After Few minutes they noticed something amazing happening… the mushrooms began to change colour! They watched closely as the colours slowly travelled up the stems and spread into the tops.
Through this hands-on activity, the children were introduced to the science concepts of absorption and capillary action in an exciting and memorable way. A wonderful mix of curiosity, discovery, and learning.
