Why We Love St Brendan’s 💛
One of the many things that makes St Brendan’s so special is the way learning comes alive in our classrooms.
Recently, students were reading two beautiful bilingual books written and illustrated by Indigenous authors, sharing stories from their own childhood experiences and culture. One of the stories talked about enjoying damper with family, and rather than simply reading about it, Ms. Carla decided to cook damper with the students
This is a wonderful example of Language Experience Pedagogy, where learning is connected to real-life experiences, helping children engage more deeply with language, culture, and storytelling.
Experiences like this are what make St Brendan’s such a special place to learn and grow, where learning is brought to life beyond the pages of a book. ✨

Students from Prep to Grade 6 have been engaged in exciting STEAM challenges, working collaboratively in teams to explore geography, continents, and famous landmarks from around the world.
Using a range of digital tools, students have navigated online resources, conducted research, and created informative posters and Google Slides presentations to share their learning.
As part of the project, they have also designed and built impressive landmark constructions, which will be displayed throughout our school. We are proud of their creativity, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for learning about our world! 🌏

We thoroughly enjoyed our First Winter Gala Day of Tee Ball.
The students displayed some fantastic skills throughout the day scoring home runs, and fielding beautifully to create some exciting run-outs!
It was wonderful to see such an even competition across all teams, with students demonstrating excellent sportsmanship, encouragement and team work.
