A Wonderful Day at Melbourne Zoo 🦁🦒🐘

What a wonderful day our P–2 students had at Melbourne Zoo on Thursday! 🌿

Our young scientists were busy exploring, observing and discovering as they used their senses to learn more about the amazing animals around them. They investigated different habitats, observed how animals live and meet their needs, and developed a deeper understanding of how we can care for and protect animals and their environments.

It was fantastic to see our students’ curiosity and excitement as they made connections between what they have been learning in the classroom and the real world. From listening and looking carefully to asking questions and sharing their discoveries, our students embraced every opportunity to learn.

Day Two at Cottage by the Sea 🌊☀️

Another big day of adventure! From boogie boarding and plenty of laughs, to our lighthouse walk and an amazing maritime centre experience. 🌊🏄‍♂️⚓️

He shared his story with our students and inspired them with a powerful message about resilience, embracing our differences, choosing kindness and continuing to move forward, even when the path doesn’t always go exactly as planned.

From their very first day of Prep to now, our little learners have grown, learned, made new friends and filled our school with so much joy. 💛

🌿 Celebrating the Feast of the Assumption 🌿

This Saturday, we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Year 3 students have done a wonderful job interpreting famous images of Mary and have collaboratively created their own beautiful artwork to mark this special occasion.

Their beautiful creations are now on display in the church window for our school and parish community to enjoy.

✨ Confirmation Celebration Café Excursion ✨

Yesterday, our Year 5/6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation over the weekend enjoyed a special celebration together.

The students shared a delicious meal while supporting a wonderful cause at the All Things Equal pop-up café. This Melbourne based social enterprise empowers people with disability through award-wage employment, purposeful training, and pathways to rewarding careers in hospitality.

We are so proud of our students and the way they celebrated this important milestone in their faith journey. 💙
